Who Is Scared of Chickens?

I never understood the phrase “And now the chickens have come home to roost.” People say that like it’s threatening, but, if chickens were trying to roost somewhere I didn’t like, I’d just punt them over the fence. I prey on chickens; that’s why people call me a chicken hawk.

  1. Society may have realized a long time ago how pathetic liberals are. I would assume, and I do that a lot, that when this phrase was coined chicken was just a euphemism, for liberal/socialist/communist/Arab self detonating machine. Pretty much the same as it is today. Some things are just time honored.

  2. I actually do foolish things deliberately so that the chickens will come to my home and roost. Think of it! Some minor foolishness, a little work with a machete, BAMMMMM! Free chicken dinner, and I’ve saved $5.99 at my local grocery store.

  3. (from fun/improbable facts about food) The closest living relative of the t-rex is the chicken which makes the phobia ‘Alektorophobia’ (Fear of chickens) slightly more plausible.
    On a different note:
Americans spend approximately $25 billion each year on beer. Now thats my kind of people 😀
