I liked this part:
“In Vienna on Tuesday, the United Nations’ special investigator on torture, Manfred Nowak, said he disagreed with the death sentence and that Saddam’s trial had not been well conducted.”
Yah like anyone really cares about what you say. If the UN had their way Saddam would still be in power giving tons of cash to the UN to do what ever he wants.
Feh.
In reality, from my perspective at least, the trial was simply a formality. The reality of what Saddam had sone is undeniable. Nevertheless, we Westerners and civilized people continue to stick to due process and all that garbage.
Consider this: Saddam was tried according to the values and procedures of civilized people, the very values and procedures he not only rejected but worked against. What irony! Were he consigned to execution by some tin-hat dictator, it would have been a case of vengeance or tit-for-tat. Nothing special. But for him to be found guilty and sentenced to death under due process – oh! what irony!
And that he was granted this…oh, how the mighty have fallen, and how virtuous are the new players!
Poor guy.

That is why he is angry. He did not get his Christmas bonus from Saddam this year.
uhm… “be this the end of Saddam Monkey”? c’mon, Spacemonkey, I’ve been waiting to hear you say it, and since you didn’t, I had to.
I was waiting for Saddams’ ‘departure’ day.
Oh. … … Sorry. I guess I kinda ruined that for you, didn’t I…
Feh.
