I think if you think you have to give a big, much hoopla’ed speech to tell people you don’t think your religion should pose a problem for voters, you’ve really managed to get your sacred undergarments in a bunch.

They do have some wacky stuff in their religion, but joooos cutting the tip off the baby boys dic%$ has got to be the weirdest. Well that and drinking Palestinian blood.
As a “Mormon” for 30 years I know the futility of attempting to educate someone whose mind is closed and whose opinions are set in stone. I said educate not convert, don’t confuse the two.
I also knew before other Christians were affected by it, what it’s like to be attacked for (made fun of, ridiculed, passed over for jobs, and promotions) your religious beliefs. My children have lost friends, been subject to ridicule by teachers and parents as well as by other students due to others “tolerance” of our religion.
I may or may not vote for Mr. Romney but his “Mormonism” is not going to go away. So just like John Kennedy he has to address the subject of religion. After all having a president who believes in a higher power, is successful in business and in his personal life, who has experience in business and government, has integrity and is honest is not highly prized by the electorate. Much better to have a power addicted, spending fiend with delusions of godhood, but thank goodness he’s not “A MORMON”.
I have relatives who are LDS and I think they are some of the nicest people on the face of the Earth.
I just think the speech was a silly thing to do.
Make it not an issue by making it an issue.
C’mon, he used to be a staunch supporter of abortion, that’s not what I call a religious, zealot, by any means.
It sure is nice to see those Non Christian Mormons treating other religions like they aren’t as valid as theirs today. Oh wait the tolerant “Christians” are calling Mormons names, and being the bigots just like the MSM said they are. I don’t mind Mormons at all, mine ain’t perfect either. I just remember the story of the women taken in adultery, He who is without sin, blah ,blah ,blah. Really the Evangelicals are making asses of themselves and proving they are not tolerant. Grow up and shut up you are poor examples of conservatives.

So not funny.
So you think “underpants” would have worked better?
Anyone recall the “don’t tase me, bro” guy? Guess it got Mitt to thinkin’. It did get him a nice hand hold on the spotlight for a few days.
I agree, Frank. His underpants are definitely caught on something. But it’s not in front.
