Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
It is so cool to finally see a site that takes our impending climate tradgedy seriously. If it’s ok, I would like to make a suggestion about how we could stop the global warming. Take everyone’s shoe size, and give them like 1,000 kw of energy for every square inch that their foot covers. That’s all you get man. use it wisely. It would really bring home the idea of a carbon footprint t oeveryone. thanks for readin’ and keep up the crazy, dudes and dudettes. I’m outta here.

Dear WE,
I LOVE it that everybody is finally figuring tht we HAVE to do somtehing to stop Big Oil in it’s rape of Mother Earth. Thanks for actually DOING something.
Stick with me here bcz I have a great way to provide both clean energy and stop global warming. Carbon Dioxide is made up of a Carbon atom and 2 OXYGEN atoms. As we all know, Oxygen burns. So – if we simply passed a law that required all energy companies to seperate Carbon from the Oxygen in the AIR (it’s right there – they don’t even have to MINE it!) and then burn the Oxygen, we get both clean energy and less GW.
We can then use the Carbon atoms left over and make carbon nanotubes and we can then make steel OBSOLETE and that will ALSO clean up the earth.
I would be happy to share my idea with anybody or sign a petition or something to help you take ACTION on greenhouse gas.
Thx.

Love this site! It really is just as simple as belief and motion forward.
I’d love to add a suggestion, maybe something that can get people off their cans, so to speak, to see that they “can”, too! Flatulence is such an important contributor to what we’re all inflicting the Earth Mother with, as we all know. She’s given us such a perfect mechanism for handling CO2, in plants and oceans – think of it, she’s given us the way to clean up our mess. She’s forgiven us our sins, as we forgive, well, sorry to digress into a patriarchal religious taunt.
Anyway, I think if we all committed to using our office- and house- plants, and lakes and rivers and oceans as “cans” (you know, the kind you crap in), we put our detritous as close as possible to the Earth Mother’s cleansing mechanism, so that it spends less time exposed to the air to pollute it with CO2, and we CAN solve the problem! We CAN! Perfect. Brilliant.
Wiping out the climate crisis, one leaf at a time,
Sequoia

Hi foks – really excited about your website and group. I do have a suggestion for you to consider as you lobby congress. Can we expand Planned Parenthood’s phenomenal US success overseas – especially to places like Africa and the Middle East? It seems that our fundamental problem is overpopulation – to many people with scarce resources. If we can make abortion available everywhere there will be far fewer babies competing for the teat of our blessed Mother Gaia (literally and figuratively!). Maybe we can look into imposing forced birth control/abortions on these people since they obviously are too poor and stupid to control their animal like breeding. It’s not like they are contributing anything important to the world. Anyhoo – keep up the good work and after next year we should have our new lightworker president who will bring us change and hopitude. Obey Obama!! Peace!

  1. That last one sounded like what Planned Parenthood was doing by taking in money to help kill black babies. Too realistic! However, I really liked the second one, as it’s so stupid, yet tries to act so smart. Whoever did that one should be given High Praise!

  2. These remind me of an interesting theory I heard once from a guy I met on the bus. He said that if we took all the pennies out of circulation and made them into copper wire, we could use the wire to bring everyone electricity free of charge, because it would be paid for by the pennies. Yeah, that’s right, free electricity for everyone.
He said he had eight or nine college degrees so he must be really smart, but then again he did look kinda scary so I’m not sure it’s such a good idea after all.
I can’t manage to write in WEtard language so if anyone wants to steal this idea and write it up and send it in, more power to you.

Yeah, that would work great except that the penny hasn’t had any significant amount of copper since 1982.

  4. Oh, gosh, these guys did a great job of straddling the line between completely off their rockers and marginally believable to WEtards. This whole idea of yours with the Operation Helpful Idiot, Harv, has really been cracking me up. One of these days I’ll get around to participating, when I have the time to try and think like a WEtard. I think the separation of oxygen and carbon atoms and the “crap by a plant” ideas were my favorites, but the guy who signed as Ecthelion of the Fountain even included Gondolin and the First Age…!?! Lord, that’s funny; but pushing it, even for WEtards…or am I ascribing them too much intelligence?

  5. I had an uninteresting discussion with a real WEtard this weekend. It did however bring up another flaw in the WEtard’s website. The section of the website talking about the “science” of Global Warming has no data. Now how can I challenge the data on this if they don’t show it. I am certainly not going to get his WEtarded movie.
SO.. if someone could convince them to put up their data then I think we could make some progress here.
Sorry for making this serious, but where else could I to go.

  6. Seth,
I honestly don’t know how “pushing it” it is. On the one hand, the sudden surge of helpful but impractical suggestions OUGHT to tip them off that they’re being trolled.
HOWEVER, I also suspect that their organization is so fraught with conceit that anything that seems “off” is assumed to be some sort of quirky, self-deprecating ironic humor. After all, who are THEY to pass judgment on something so “subjective” as the “correctness” of somebody’s eccentricity?

  7. I don’t get how they can classify Robber Barons & Reaganomics as bad things.
I also don’t get blaming the Depression on Hoover, since it was Roosevelt’s socialist idiocy that kept the thing going for 12 years.

  8. So much wrong, so little time. I think the best is listing the League of Nations/United Nations as good things. Oh, and someone needs to tell him that it was the Republicans who pushed the Civil Rights Act (and some people like Algore’s father who tried to fillibuster it).
Not to mention that the balanced budget and eventual surplus in the 1990’s had so much more to do with “evil” Reaganomics than Bill Clinton’s tax hikes.

  9. You’re right Harv, they may never figure out they’re being trolled. I consistently forget the nature of their subjective, no-moral-point-of-reference mindset. Ah, me. At least it’s enjoyable to poke fun at them…
