What’s wrong with the peace movement from Steven Crowder:

Peace clearly has had it’s chance and failed. War has not always existed. It’s literally impossible that war has continually persisted since the beginning of time. Therefore there must have been a time of peace prior to the existence of war. What did this time of peace give birth to? War, and that’s a good thing The absence of conflict is a noble goal, but should not be any rational individuals highest priority. Individual freedom and justice should be more important than simply the absence of conflict. Slavery, brutality and injustice can exist in a world without war. Call me primitive, but I believe a world with war is preferable to a world of slavery, injustice and brutality, where freedom is unknown.
Granted, Crowder is right about the necessity of war, but I really could care less about Lennon. I usually get that irate about Neil Young, another insufferable liberal moron, simply because he’s still around.
so.. if the ideal of peaceful co-existence is expressed in ‘the bible’ it’s the holy word of god… but if a musican expresses that ideal he’s a buffoon ?

The “Ideal” of peace is talked about in the Bible. However, God did some serious smoting to evil-doers in the Old Testament which is also part of His Word! I do not believe God intends for a country like the US to turn swords into plowshares and be over-run with those who would destroy us! Part of the protection he offers us is accomplished through our wonderfully powerful military!
Read about WWII sometime and you will see the hand of God all over the victory by the allies!
El polacko – the ideal of heaven and true religion are also expressed in the Bible, but Lennon’s commie dirge expressly begins with “Imagine there’s no heaven.” I won’t speak for Steven Crowder, but to me, yes it does make Lennon something of a buffoon… removing religion and the hope of heaven are huge obstacles to eternal peace and brotherhood.
People’s quarrels over God do not prove at all that religion is evil or made-up… they prove that the question is very important. It’s a terrible thing that such questions should lead to violence, but it would be more terrible still to be forcibly enslaved to a faith that proves itself to be anti-human, savage, and backward. Armed resistance is preferable to such a state of affairs.
On the bright side, it’s nice to see an important media outlet like IMAO recognizing the value of Wins Above Replacement in player evaluations.
Everyone knows that if you’re looking for the answers to the world’s problems, there’s no better place to look than the mind of a Hollywood actor or a foreign pop star…something about the perfect mix of large quantities of drugs, political ignorance and self-obsession makes them brilliant.
So the modern hippie peace sign has it’s origins with anti-christian Nero. The next time some hippie shows you it’s anti-christin sign, show it the anti-hippie sign with a punch to it’s dumb stupid smelly hippie face.
