Democrats are always on the verge of having enough votes and Obama is always making his final push for it. It’s like we’re stuck in some Star Trek-type anomaly. I’m actually looking forward to them pushing amnesty just to have something new to complain about.
I can’t take it anymore! Just pass it or don’t pass it! But for all that’s good and holy, STOP TALKING ABOUT IT!

One of the biggest problems with libs is that they never paid attention in history class. House Republicans need to provide a ‘safe-house’ for battered Democrats so they can avoid the arm-twisting and mind games their leadership is using to try to get them to change their votes.
The pro-life and fiscally-conservative Dems seem to be suffering from battered wife syndrome and need an intervention, or at least someone who’ll watch their back when they’re trying to take a shower in the congressional gym.
On the other hand, all the talk about the pressure they’re under may be setting them up for an excuse; “I didn’t Want to vote yes, but they Made me do it! (sob)”

My solution (which would require courage on the part of GOP leaders): GOP leadership should announce that Dems who vote no on healthcare, regardless of their first vote, will not be challenged on the healthcare issue in the ’10 elections. This, of course, would only apply to official GOP and candidate expenditures.
This would easily peel off enough pants-wetters to doom the bill. It’d be done, finished and over with. No more. Dead. Killed. Dismembered. Disemboweled.
