Can we repeal Obamacare? I dunno. Sounds hard. Then again, it doesn’t go into full effect until 2013, so maybe we can get a new Republican in to squash it just before it goes into full effect. If we could do that, it would be even more awesome than blocking it in the first place.
Look at it this way. Let’s say there’s a little kid who’s wanted a cool robot toy for months. He’s obsessed with nothing but getting that awesome new toy. Then comes Christmas, and he opens his presents, and there it is! The toy he’s always wanted! He’s overjoyed! He can barely contain himself. He gets the toy out of its box and spends a while just looking at it and admiring it. Then he finally reaches over to play with it and…
I smash it to pieces with a bat right in front of him. “Ha! You’ll never get that toy, you stupid little kid!” I laugh. And he cries and cries, and I mock and laugh and film him for YouTube so everyone can see how pathetic and stupid he is.
That’s what repealing Obamacare would be like. Pretty awesome, huh?
For the last eight years all we got from the dimocrats was Impeach !!! Impeach!!! It’s time for Repeal !!! Repeal !!!
We will break theiir healthcare toys in front of them and listen to their lamentations.
To quote Joe Biden, Frank, repealing ObamaCare would be a “big f$$$ing deal”!!
That is awesome, I will need to do this at Christmas.
No,here is what happens…. Then comes Christmas, and he opens his presents, and there it is! The toy he’s always wanted! He’s overjoyed! He can barely contain himself. He gets the toy out of its box and spends a while just looking at it and admiring it. Then the toy comes alive and reaches out to grab the boy by the throat causing him to go into a coma! When he comes around he is bound and gagged forced to do the will of the robot. That’s Obamacare! Time to rid ourselves of the robot!
Bush and Rove in 2005 had a plan to dump money in healthcare and education while granting amnesty for illegals believing that this would lead to a decades long Republican majorities across the country and government. The irony that Obama and Axelrod have the same plan is not lost on me. They will both be proven wrong and 10 years from now we will still be at 49%-51% elections only with millions of new citizens and trillions of new debt. This is because people don’t become one dimensional voters after a few handouts. For that you have to create a permanent cycle of dysfunction, dependence, and a complete feeling of hopelessness. Then groups of people will vote based largely on a single dimension.
As long as we can then use the bat on Obama and every traitor who voted for this, it would definitely be awesome.
Liberals want government in charge of health-care and conservatives want consumers to being charge of their own health-care and free enterprise to drive down prices. Obama went the other route and sold everyone to mega-corporations secretly believing that this would fail so spectacularly in a few years the government would just have to keep taking over.
People keep trying to say health-care will now be more like the post office, wrong the post office has several free market alternatives. Health care will now be more like internet providers in areas with government enforced monopolies. High prices, crappy service and zero innovation.
On the repeal of Obamacare, all I can say is “YES WE CAN!”
Clearly a job for Aquaman.
NAC EW SEY!
Totally.
What about an amendment to the Constitution?
If you are at a tea party and someone yells a racial slur be sure to get them in front of a camera and then punch them because that is just another Alinsky liberal. Everyone take turns punching at least twice and make sure its on film so we can all enjoy a Alinsky chic being smacked down.
I think you need to get all that out of your system before Li’l Frankie comes….
Can I get an “at bat”? I can understand if you don’t want to share. How about camera crew? can I be on the Camera crew? Hunh? can i..can I? I’ll trade you my aggie shooter!
“We”? There is no “we”, there’s just “them”. And them that run the Republican party have no interest in rolling back government.
Yes, if the GOP controls the House (very likely), the Senate (good chance) and the Presidency (50-50 at least) in 2012, it will have the power to entirely roll back Obamacare. The repeal bill could be under ten pages long, and they could ram it through even faster than Pelosi rammed Obamacare through. Will they do it? Not a chance.
Personally, I think once you create an entitlement it is impossible to repeal it. Especially in a case such as this whereby it does not fully come into effect until 2013. In a year or so the people who currently have health insurance (i.e., the vast majority of us) will say “Gee it is not that bad” and the issue goes away until after the election. Looking at the Canadian and British models, my concern is not the immediate but 15 years down the road. At some point, after the syetm gets intrenched then the troubles will start (initially, the system will be able to use the infrastructure built up over 220 years of pre-Obamacare America). At that point however, real change will be difficult because people will be relying on the entitlement and there will be no affordable private alternative.
So I think it is here to stay.
On the other hand, if we Do yank out it’s putrid, reeking heart and stomp it into the gravel, That will Really be Historic!
