What Will This Cost?

Here’s some historical data on how cost estimates versus actual costs turned out for some government programs. My understanding is Obamacare doesn’t go into effect until 2013, so it’s basically a ticking time bomb. When it goes off, it’s going to grab every single dollar it can, and when things get tight, that’s when the horror stories start. But don’t worry, there won’t be death panels as long as no heartless bureaucrat realizes, “Hey, if old and sick people died, we’d save a lot of money!”

Anyway, November needs to be an epic slaughter, or this is just going to keep happening. I mean, we have to hurt them so badly they’re scared to even mention a new spending bill. Every Democrat should cry, and every liberal should scream non-stop about all the horrible things Republicans will do with their giant new majorities. The greatest costs of this should be Democrats’ political futures.

  1. Once people start paying into the program, it will become like social security and medicare. People will not want to lose their investment. We will see the tax increases soon, most likely with the resulting job losses.

Next the insurance company bailouts will begin since they are too big to fail and those mean Republicans aren’t giving them enough money to cover the new mandates. More to charge the tax payer.

  2. Yeah, and send some (mmmm, dim sum) up to the Far Left corner of the country. I’ve got a shiny new red wheel barrow ready to carry it to the store!

    Yay!

Huh? I have to paint it blue? Forget it then.

  3. Not just an epic slaughter, but every single Commiecrat slimeball running in the mid terms needs to be defeated. Every single one. Now, I know it won’t happen but I can still dream, can I? At least until Obama bans any dreams he doesn’t approve of, that is. Lying Commie Bastard.

  4. Here’s a very likely future conversation:

Health care recipient: ” It’s 2014! I finally get my free health care everyone has been paying for over the last four years!”

Congress: “Uh sorry. There isn’t enough money.”

Health care recipient: ” What are you talking about? Taxes were raised by over $500 billion!”

Congress:: “Well, we kinda spent that money already on other cool stuff, like bribes to pass immigration reform, re-education centers, and disposal of privately-owned firearms.”

Health care recipient: “What do I do now?”

Congress: “Here’s a band-aid and a bottle of peroxide. Be careful not to use it all at once, since that’s your year’s supply of health care.”

  5. My only fear is that the Demon-rats — fully emboldened by their total disreagard for the Constitution and the will of the people — will find a way to “fast-path” immigration reform. By November, they will have several million (formerly illegal alliend) new citizens ready to vote for their Demon-rat “saviors”.

It’s time to crawl into the sewer and fight this evil on it’s own level!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Has anyone yet brought up the possibility that the time-bomb aspect is intentional? That the Democrats are expecting to lose in 2012 and when the bomb goes off, it’ll all be blamed on the Republican-controlled Congress and President Palin? I wouldn’t put it past them, myself.

  7. Dirk-

They were already talking about immigration reform on NPR this morning. (Of course they were all for it) If they are going to get the new Democratic voters signed up before November, they have to start right away.
