On the Daily Show, Michelle Obama said Barack straightened up after his father died.
“That was one of those click-in moments,” she said. “And he really buckled down, he transferred schools, went to Columbia and thought about how to use life to the fullest.”
One problem with that story:
According to Barack Obama, he was already at Columbia when he got the call that his father died. He actually detailed it in his book.
Ok, next question for Michelle: when did Barack quit smoking?

When did he start at Columbia? Oh that’s right, nobody seems to know much about that ….story.
Even those who have studied Barack Obama’s background in detail don’t generally know much about his time at Columbia University, however, as he hasn’t revealed much about that period of his life in his public writings and statements,(but he has given details about eatting dogs and doing drugs in other parts of it, I wonder what he did that was worse) nor has he made his transcripts or other school records from Columbia available for public examination. Obama’s reticence about revealing much from this period of his life has given license to a number of related rumors, the most outlandish of them being the claim outlined above that he fabricated this element of his background and didn’t really attend Columbia at all.

If Nobody knew anything about that time and since there’s nobody who’s ever said they went to Columbia with him, how is saying he never went there “outlandish”? Snopes is un-biiiiiiiiased so it must be true.
I thought Barack didn’t straighten up until he and Michelle decided to help Luke destroy the Death Star instead of just flying way with the reward money.
Maybe the Obamas should read the book he “wrote.” It would prevent things like making fun of Romney’s pet ownership and then being caught chowing on Fido.
