A softball Hillary interview on NBC included the comment “thank you for your candidacy”.
I want to be outraged, but to be fair, a lot of late night comedians have had the same thought.

Well, Frank used to be thankful that people like John Edwards, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama ran for office so he could make fun of them. Who knows what Frank is thankful for these days.
… as Candy Crowley stood by with a transcript of an obscure speech of Hillary’s, just in case Hillary wanted to refer to it; and George Stephanopoulos stood on tiptoes ready to correct her if she accidentally let slip a reference to “my fascist faith.”
“Gotcha” questions for Republicans, “Gotcher Back” questions for Democrats. Nothing new.
You can ask her any question you want, she’ll just answer the question she hears in her head which usually has nothing to do with what was asked. Defendants answer questions, politicians do not. And it used to be that journalists would at least have the courtesy of pointing out that the politician was avoiding the question.
