Opportunity Knocks

Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx told a crowd in North Carolina that the American Dream was in jeopardy because “only 49% of low-income neighborhoods have sidewalks”.

Easy way to grab the American Dream: start a company that sells “Keep Off The Grass” signs in low-income neighborhoods.

  1. Not only that, but a lot of high- and middle-income neighborhoods don’t have sidewalks, either. Housing developments, rural areas and even many suburban areas don’t have sidewalks because people drive everywhere.

    There are no sidewalks on my street in a middle-income neighborhood, and everybody whom I know on my street likes it like that.

  3. I might be missing something here, being a stupid conservative cave dwelling minority hater, but are there privately owned sidewalks in America? Now who is responsible for them? Help me out here people, throw me a bone. I honestly don’t know who is responsible for building sidewalks next to public thoroughfares. Is it Big Banks, Big Pharma or Big Tobacco?
