So it’s been demonstrated that a working receiver for an AR-15 can be made using a 3D printer. Since anyone with access to a 3D printer (which, like all technologies, it getting better and cheaper) can make a gun, how do gun absolutists expect to keep guns away from criminals? Ban 3D printers too? Or maybe just put a big sticker on them:
PLEASE DON’T USE TO PRINT GUNS

“Gun Free Printer Zone” That should do it.
If we outlaw 3D printers… Only 3D printers will have outlaws… Or something like that.
Hey! I’ve got an idea. Lets all write our congressmen and demand they throw federal money at the 3D printer industry and get the government all up in their business. The technology will be dead within a year.

Btw, Muchos thankos from the bloggers at Western Hero for including my blog, Western Hero, in your blogroll. I am honored, and I am way too humble to blog pimp my blog, Western Hero
Rock on!
Don’t worry. The liberals will just print more criminals….
So how long until I can print in steel and make new parts for my M1?
3D printers are going to be illegal soon unless they can find a way to get them to join manufacturing unions. You’re only building the case stronger for Democrats to ban them.
I think that we need a warning that will really put the fear of God into people. Something along the lines of: USE OF THIS PRINTER TO PRODUCE GUNS WILL RESULT IN A DISAPPROVING EDITORIAL FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES. I’m scared of the people at New York Times, or at least I would be if I thought that any of them could find Iowa on a map, or pour piss out of a boot with the instructions on its heel.
“Bang-bang. Carriage Return.”
“It jammed!”
“What, the gun?”
“No the printer!”
“Make it load a round!”
“The printer can’t do that!”
“What the hell kind of 3D printer is THAT?”
Needs a new cartridge.
Printer cartridge or rifle cartridge?
How the hell should I know?
“What happened?”
“It’s out of toner.”
“Is it okay? It’s only half done.”
“It’s a pile of goo.”
“Hey! What’s with the concealed carry permit on your printer?”
‘Don’t open the lid!!!”
*bang*
