I Am Alive!

Gather round and hear the tale of my harrowing battle with the hurricane. First there was rain. Then there was more rain. And a little thunder. And the power flashed off twice, making me lose my progress in the videogame I was playing. Then I had a beer.
And thus ended the siege of the hurricane. Hope everyone else is doing well.

  1. I think we should all mourn the loss of the progress Frank made in the video game.
Frank, I recommend looking into taking legal action against the hurricane. Hell, some woman did it in AZ a few years back. She sued God for a thunderstorm, and she won! God has yet to pay up, though.

  2. chris, i’m pretty sure you were wrong about the will. surely he wouldn’t leave his babe empty handed. and i guess there’s no reason for me to give you my # now that frank’s back.
frank can call me, though. 🙂
    ::waits impatiently by the phone::

  3. He’s alive! ALIVE!!!
Let’s all dance the SMITE egyptian dance of relief!

  4. But, wait! I think I have just stumbled upon Frank’s secret identity. He died before he was alive. Only one man could pull off such a flip-flop, and that man is Massachusetts senator, John F. Kerry! Unless Frank actually did die, and then got resurrected, in which case his secret identity is Jesus! Ha! You can’t sneak one past me, Jesus!

  5. OOhhhhhhhhhhhh Thank God! Frank is ALIVE!!!!! I never Reeeealy belived it, but still the HORROR if it Was true was enough to nag at me through the night. Whew!
By the way, whilst reading IMAO yesterday, my 8 year old son was nearby. “What’s that spell, mom? IMAO?” I told him noooooobody knows. Frank won’t tell! Well he suggested sending in the Air Force to MAKE Frank tell! Would that work? I didn’t have the heart to tell him about the S.M.I.T.E. program. Inquiring minds want to know!
Also, now that you’re alive again, can we PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEase have that butt shot now?

  6. Well glad to hear you’re okay Frank! I guess the rumours of your demise were greatly exaggerated… by you! I’d send Rummy after you, but it looks like Monster Kabasue is already on the ball. Good thing since I think I missed the bus.
As far as Spidey goes.. At least you weren’t playing anyone of the Final Fantasy games… I have played those darn games for hours without finding a save spot. (and once yes, the power did go out just as I got to one! “%^&%^*^, &&%&%$%!! Why God?!!”

  7. Frankie, you had it easy. You had videogames and beer. I had an eyewall, power out for two days, and WARM BEER.
So since you had it easier than me, I hereby invoke the Hurricane Survivor’s Clause: You are now INVOKED to make
    THE ANNOUNCEMENT
    So get to it..
    Slab out.

  8. One entry found for osculate.
    Main Entry: os·cu·late
    Pronunciation: ‘äs-ky&-“lAt
    Function: transitive verb
    Inflected Form(s): -lat·ed; -lat·ing
Etymology: Latin osculatus, past participle of osculari, from osculum kiss, from diminutive of os mouth — more at ORAL
    KISS
  9. For those trying to sue God, I recommend the Australian movie “the Man Who Sued God” starring Billy Connelly and a left wing sympathiser. It is very good, even if it is set in Sydney, and not the real Melbourne (the Australian one, Frank, that doesn’t have typhoons!!) (And it’s too cold for monkeys!!)

  10. Frank’s ALIVE?
    That’s great news!
Unfortunately I’m already in the middle of my ritual suicide from having heard of his death (as all good ronin should), and my guts are all over the floor.
Now I have to put them all back and clean up before I lose consciousness.

  11. Glad you’re alive, Frank. I’d have died without IMAO.
I was in South Carolina during Charley, but I slept through it. According to my family, there was only a bit of wind and rain.
That makes one earthquake and one hurricane that I’ve slept through (and I live in Illinois!)
