Somebody once commented on a post I once wrote on a weekend. The comment sort of stuck in my head.
Update?
And sacrifice brilliant writing on the pagan altar of the weekend readership trough?
Heaven forfend.
Like I say somebody said that, but I forget Harvey’s, I mean, his name.
Well, this particular pagan altar of weekend traffic has boo-koo-dles of readers. More readers in fact, more than than 3-4 thousand more readers than most blogs get on their hottest traffic times (during the work week, if there are simple doofusses out there reading this who don’t know what hot traffic times are (oh and work week means Monday thru Friday, if there are any lazy hippies out there reading this (can you put parantheticals inside parentheticals? (I guess so)))).
So, I figure, why NOT post on the weekend? at least I’m not claiming this is brilliant. Weekends don’t have to be weak-ends. Sorry that was a really bad pun.
Or should I just not draw more attention to the fact that the others here don’t post on the weekend?

First!
Oh yeah, and I’m glad somebody knows how to close an html tag. (rolls eyes)
It WAS closed, I just left off that slashy character thingy.
Yeah, that’s what they all say…
Weekend posting is good. Really. I don’t understand why most people don’t post on weekends more often.
Then again, it is raining an inch per hour here, so it’s not like I can go outside.
Weekend posting IS good. What the bleep are we supposed to DO if no one blogs on weekends, anyway? 😉
OK, maybe that’s just me.

Same here, Beth. Weekends are when I have the most free time, and I spend a (pathetically) large amount of that time on the computer.
you mean people go places on the weekend?
jeez i always wondered why no one was online to talk to on the weekends. this explains it. i wonder what else i have been missing.
Now that I have to actually work ALL day, and even stay LATE sometimes, my weekday posting has really fallen off. I do all my good writing on the weekends, now.
Okay, it may not be good, but it it writing.
Do most of my reading then, too.
I can’t stand it when a whole day goes by with no posts. Almost want to start my own “weekend-only” blog.
My programming training tells me that you can nest parenthesis so long as you always close them.
Who knew this would be THE blog post of the weekend? LOL
Nope, I’m still not cool.
Roll on weekend posting. I have very little time to post during the week, but about 6 hours a day on weekends. If only more people would live like me I wouldn’t get so frustrated when only 150 people come to say hi on a Saturday. Damned lazy IKEA-going know nuthin layabouts.
Weekend posting is usually all good; but sometimes car work gets in the way. Oh, and then I had to actually get out of the house. And then Comcast decided I was not worthy of Internet connectivity. And now, it is approaching sleepy time … /TJ
I get a perfect bell curve, with the peak on hump day.
Mmm. Curve. Hump. Trough. Sorry.
Gramatically, and, as Ikkonoishi said, in programming, nest away with the parentheses as long as you close them all. In Math, you’re supposed to “escalate” — first parenthese, then square brackets, then braces, then back to parentheses, closing appropriately of course. ([{}]) Or wait. Is it the other way around, with the braces on the outside and the parentheses on the inside? {[( )]} Yeah, I think it’s braces on the outside? Dang, I can’t remember! (Like anyone cares.)
Oh. And gramatically, if you go more than 3 levels of parentheses, you gotta stop and start a new paragraph or go to a footnote or something. Dunno why, but them’s the rules, IIRC. So, dude, you lose points! Aaaawww.

Weekends are when I do catch-up blogging at Bad Example, so I tend to only toss up one post here between Sat & Sun.
Anyway, Monkey, you are quite correct that weekend blogging is NOT a waste.
Truth is, on Monday, the work-week readers are gonna keep scrolling down until they hit a post they’ve seen before.
Everything gets read eventually.
