The French National Police are switching from Pugeots to Subarus so they can pursue fleeing criminals in high-speed chases.
(I hear they burn quicker, too.)

They pursue criminals in France? Sacre bleu!
Are you sure it’s not so they can run from criminals faster?
Whatever. That story is just spin. The truth is that Subarus offer better protection when they get in wrecks, which invariably happens when they let go of the steering wheel as they throw their hands up in surrender.
No, it’s Rovers that burn faster.
“Most European criminals will also no longer be able to claim that they did not understand police instructions in French — the cars will relay their messages in a light display in five languages — French, English, German, Spanish and Dutch — while there is room for three others.”
Pffff… aw geez. I just had a chuckle trying to imagine what this screen would look like. If it has room for 8 languages, doesn’t it completely block out the windshield (which is where I’d assume you’d mount it)?
And can’t European criminals claim that they’re illiterate?
I would love to have a Subaru WRX STI. Fast little buggers and safe, reliable cars, too.
Room for three more?
