I’m watching the news, and Laura Bush is on right now talking about Burma and its disaster, condemning their government, and answering questions from the press about our foreign policy relations with them. Did Bush run out of employees or something and had use his wife?

She’s doing a great job of it too. It sounds like she is doing the work of at least a dozen State Dept. employees.
Wow! I was amazed and mesmerized by her performance at this press conference. She was intelligent, informed, and she handled the press really well.
Laura Bush for President!
Frank! Im surprised at you! Cant you tell that Laura is padding her resume in preperation for her presidential run 2012? After all with this press conference she’ll have as much “experience” as Hillary in Presidential mgmt.
I wondered what she did with George’s balls when she neutered him 8 years ago…
Your wife has a job and was therefore busy.
Goe, offering up suggestions.
Yes it is hard to believe that a woman, much less a Republican woman, who we all know are beaten down, cowed and silenced could have not only an opinion but a reasoned, insightful, and on target opinion.
They asked her a question and she answered it. Wow. Somebody call for an investigation.
Burma – and its repressive government – has been one of Laura Bush’s pet topics for the last several years so she is something of an expert on the country. It fits right in with her First Lady agenda.
Perhaps there were snipers in the area.
You know the Clintons are master manipulators. They have managed to foul both the position of president and first lady. Now those who come after them will have to deal with the “legacy” they left behind, and of course our cynicism. How sad.
Consider the options:
If the Dems say that she isn’t qualified to say anything, then that shows that Mrs. Clinton had no standing to hold forth on political matters. If they say nothing, Mrs. Bush gains credibility.
How can we lose?
