In California, 30,000 prisoners have refused meals in the apparent start of a statewide hunger strike.
Either that, or someone let Michelle mess with the menu.

This is a great way to deal with overcrowded prisons. Maggie let those IRA terrorists starve themselves to death, and if it’s good enough for the Iron Lady it’s good enough for me.
a good way to save money. if they don’t eat it, tomorrow is leftovers. until it starts to smell bad, then start over. in a serious strike you ought to save about six days out of seven.
oh, the “strike” is skipping breakfast and lunch, eat dinner. that ain’t a strike, that’s an average day.
… for a taxpayer.
So? Let them starve.
Nothing gets your point across like mass suicide, hopefully that will be the next step.
I’m with NoMoBama.
Attempted suicide is illegal, but being successful is perfectly legal.
Why are we creating more criminals instead of reducing the number?
Government out of the bedroom and the lunchroom!
Think of all the money they’re saving in CA. It seems that prisoners don’t need three squares a day. Time to cut back to feeding them once a day.
If they want to save money in the prison system, feed them like Sheriff Arpaio feeds them in Maricopa County: at lunch, one day it’s peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, the next day it’s bologna sandwiches, back and forth. Of course, if California did that, I would expect the same lament from the inmates as the Maricopa County Jail inmates made: “They’re treating us like criminals!” No s***, Sherlock! I wonder why?
