Never even heard of Kaboom cereal. I had a mom who cared for us kids and didn’t let us eat sugary cereals. It sucked.

If you put enough sugar on them, Cheerios are fine. Shredded Wheat on the other hand..

I’m not exactly a tofu and bran type (I eat as much Italian sausage as I can get my hands on), but I eat Cheerios plain (by which I mean with neither milk nor sugar, nor anything else) rather frequently, and I like them. Same thing with Grape-Nuts.
Cap’n Crunch was/is the king of all cereals and it promotes proper apostrophe usage. Apparently, it’s not very popular these days. Well, that and hack union teachers intentionally dumbing down the population to make way for Barry.
I used to crumble graham crackers in a bowl and add milk; it was delicious.
I tried it once with saltine crackers; eh, not bad… pass the sugar, please.
Plain Grape Nuts cereal is OK, but it is way better with either chocolate milk or brown sugar.
I like Cheerios, Rice Crispies, etc. The sugary cereals are too sweet for me (except Honeycomb). I prefer unsweetened, so I can add cinnamon sugar to suit me.
