Anonymiss of Nuking Politics picked her favorite punchlines to “A New Report Shows Only 17% of the Government is Actually Shut Down. The Other 83%…”

If you did, you should probably email Keln about becoming a guest blogger there.
If you didn’t, Anonymiss has got another straight line for you to practice on.
Keep trying. No one likes a quitter.

Double cookies! I am 1happyWalrus.
Skkkch! Does that translate to сукин сын?
@2 Huh? I took one year of Russian in highschool, which basically means I can tell that is Russian.
Do I wanna know what it means?
Do I get cookies if I tell you?
Absolutely. As long as it’s AA. Anonymiss Appropriate.
🙂
Hint: If it’s not, make something up that is 🙂
From the movie Patton:
Translator: “Excuse me, Sir. General Katkov would like to know whether you will join him to drink to the surrender of Germany.”
General Patton: “My compliments to the General. Please inform him that I do not care to drink with him of any other Russian son of a walrus.”
Translator: “Sir, I can not tell the General that.”
General Patton: “You tell him that. Tell him word-for-word.”
The translator speaks to the Russian General and received a reply.
Translator: “The General says he thinks that you are a son of a walrus too.”
General Patton: (laughing) “OK. I’ll drink to that, one son of a walrus to another.”
(Now remember the Russian Generals exact words – in Russian!)
So you’re saying walruskkkch = walrus son of a walrus? 🙂
Silly.
Cookies to Jimmy! I made oatmeal today. Fresh raspberry cheesecake cookies earlier this week. Which would you prefer?
Well, actually, here’s the rest of the story, Miss Anony. Every time I read the name “Walruskkkch,” in my head I hear the “skazitch” ending which is pronounced similarly to the Russian phrase in question above. So, at your suggestion, I was making something up to replace a particular word. So you see, “son of a walrus”… (I think I’m trouble now as a fan of Walrus. No offense intended, Walruskkkch!)
Fresh raspberry cheesecake cookies. You want some garden fresh butternut squash?
Fresh raspberry cheesecake cookies to Jimmy! (If you keep them in the fridge, they’re even better)
I’d love some squash if you cook it for me 🙂
P.S. Thanks for changing the phrase to make it AA 🙂
You and Walrus both get steaming hot, buttered & spiced, mashed & whipped, butternut squash. You can’t beat it with a stick.
Oh, and I probably won’t need the fridgerator for your cookies. I’ll store them in my mouf.
🙂 I’ll make sure they’re cold before I hand ’em over, then.
@6 – sounds like just another sob story to me.
If I remember my Patton correctly it sounded like the phrase was pronounced, to my ear at least, ‘sookem sim’. But I haven’t seen the movie in a few years so I may be wrong.
