People keep talking about the death of conservatism, but notice how all the Republicans at least claimed to be conservative. It’s like all those dictatorships that have phony elections; democracy is so popular that every country has to at least pretend to be a democracy. Same with conservatism.
On the other hand, while the Democrats will be getting a liberal as their nominee, he or she sure isn’t going to call him or herself that.
As for us true conservatives, we’re back to the underground where we work best. We hide in the shadows until we see our hippie prey and we strike! POW! Right in the dumb monkey face!
We may not have high political office, but we will be feared! Muh ha ha ha ha ha!

I see you’re taking this better than I am.
Well, Marko, we can’t take our toys and go home just cause we didn’t get our way. When you’re given lemons, make lemonaide.
When you’re given steaming pile of crap… well… we’ll figure something out…
I’d rather be feared than loved any day.
Off topic, but this is the dream I had last night. I AM NOT EVEN KIDDING.
IMAO decided to take a page out of Ron Paul’s book, but instead of sending out a pathetic blimp, they sent a big cargo plane. It flew all over the world. And every time the plane passed a place that had terrorists, Marines would parachute out and kill all the terrorists. This method may have been used on hippies as well; I can’t quite remember.
Soon, the whole world trembled in fear when it saw IMAO’s terrorist-killing plane, and all the terrorists were dead, and peace and freedom reigned.
I am not making this up. I actually dreamed it.
[Time to make that dream a reality! -Ed.]
I’m afraid our “Conservative” trademark has been trashed by W and McCain et al. to the point where no one but us believes it means anything but crap.
Even Fred wants us to get in line and drink the McCainaid. CPAC has been taken over by the moderates so they can’t do certification or come up with a trademark. Apparently its up to IMAO! Revolution time!
We need a new trademark and a way to certify it! Any ideas?

Crap-aide? Eww. Hmm, maybe my wife has a point when she says I have an childish sense of humor…
We can only hope McCain’s non-conservatism is a plot to garner the constantly left-moving vote of our nation. Then when he gets in office, with the help of his own M.C. Rove, Fred!, true conservatism will abound in the White House again!
I know, wishful thinking…
The Guy in the Closet
Once upon a time there was this conservative man and he had a guy in the closet that he liked to have sex with. Eventually the guy in the closet said I don’t want to be in here no more. I want you to marry me. No you stay in there because I don’t want people to know about us said the conservative man. Ok said the guy in the closet. The End.
Welcome to the 21st century, where no one listens to crazy right-wingers.
Yeah! You right-wingers are all crazy! And Nazis. And homophobes. And fascists. And dumb. And anti semitic. And fat. And ugly. And gay. And racist. And Jews.

Anti-semitic Jew? Yep, that’s us.
@#2: You use the crap to grow lemons, out of which you make lemonade. Now how do we grow lemons with McCain?….
Oh, MJ, keep dreaming! Like 20 years of McCain’s alliances with Democrats and put-downs of conservative Republicans are just a clever strategy to gain the upper hand and reveal his true self once in office?? Ah…no.
The choice is clear this year: liberal McOligarchy or Messianic Social Obamanism. Both are from Hell.
Oh, gee, great choice. Either way, we’re faced with massively frontal, demographic lobotomies.

Tarnished by Bush, certainly, but I still fail to see how McCain “tarnishes” conservatism. By restoring it to something nearer Goldwater (if not truly, 100% in-line)? By restoring some humility? And God forbid he take a few softer social positions!
Conservatism is first and foremost about individualism. McCain embodies that spirit well. Romney used to before he did the whole “extreme makeover social conservative edition” thing. Huckabee is the very antithesis of conservatism, controlling of the individual in most ways.
And as for Thompson, here’s what I hear: He is smart enough to be the conservative savior, but not smart enough to figure out and decide for himself who is the most truly conservative out of the field? Please explain your logic.
Furthermore, CPAC taken over by moderates? Give me a break! Some moderation would be nice! To slightly rework a Goldwater/Ciscero quotation: Extremism in the pursuit of rabid social control is no virtue.
I’m so sick of this “vapid conservatism” or “mob conservatism”, where people seem to be a horde of ideological clones just fighting with the “team”.
PSUdain sez:
“Conservatism is first and foremost about individualism. McCain embodies that spirit well.”
Conservatism is the individual right to freely own and use your own property so long as it does not infringe on the rights of others. Your property includes your your life, your body and your possessions. Nobody else’s.
McCain has sided with the Libs to take away our freedom and property numerous times. Example: McCain Feingold took away our freedom of speech.
Any time our freedom is taken away, it is done so by people who want more power and usually more money. The feeding frenzy has been mostly Libs because they feel morally obligated to grab all they can, but also by moderate/hypocritical Republican leaders who thrive on power and money as well.
I suspect that perhaps an Al Qaeda nuke on DC may be our only hope of getting free of these power and money mad politicians on both sides. It looks like the Libs have the best shot at getting themselves nuked out of sheer idiocy – though Republicans also have helped it along by opening the borders. The way things are going, it is a matter of how soon, not if.
So who is likely to get nuked? Bush, McCain or Obama? Does it really matter?

Eh, I just call that coffee…
Turns out Fred Thompson was never a true conservative. He was just a McCainiac loser all along. Most conservatives are losers who are easily fooled.
#18 is right!
How, oh how could I have been so blind!? Actually, I know how; it’s all Bush’s fault!
Actually, I know how; it’s all Bush’s fault!
yup!

Perhaps we should invade the vapid blogs you normally post on. Realize, nobody reads your idiotic postings once they see your screen name, uninfomed moron.
It’s almost Valentine’s Day. I love chocolate!
You could take a pile of crap and sort of make a box full of chocolates.
Then give it to a hippy you really “like”. Tell him they are “smart chocolates”. When he hacks it out and says it tastes like s*it, tell him he is getting smarter already. Of course he cannot detect the smell over his own B.O.
Smartest that hippy has ever been, and may ever be. I gaurantee the dolebludger hippy will take the free box of chocolates again from you next year, saying “man, you’re not pulling a fast one on me like last year like man are you dude, really, don’t be tazen me man?”
I have gradually become resolved to hope for the nuke, which is pretty sad, all things considered.
