Poor Choice of Icons

Yeah, so I was trying to sign into Gmail, when I got this pop-up nag-screen asking me to give them my cell phone number:

First – that ain’t gonna happen. They already have enough dirt on me from all the sweaty emails I’ve been sending to a certain hot redhead. But that’s not the point, here.

Second – why are they using a picture of a Google employee sending my information to a NSA agent’s iPhone?

Or is that not what this picture is supposed to represent?

  1. Microsoft Hotmail devoted a couple of months of their time trying to find out what other email address or addresses I have, via pop-up, every single time I tried to log in.

They eventually either gave up, or went the aforementioned NSA route.
