Earth Hour – The Video of Truth
Reader Alex put together his own version of the Earth Hour video which answers the question:
If saying “yes” to lunatic environmentalists on Earth Hour is a slippery slope, what’s at the bottom of the slope?
*stands*
*applauds*
Well done, Alex.

Awesome, Alex! Kudos to you.

Classic!

Not bad at all. Would have made honorable mention over at my Alpha Proxima Day counter-celebration contest. Screw the eco-tards. Freedom!!!!

“So turn off your lights
if you want to live.”?!?!
Nice touch!

You can turn off my lights when you take them from my cold, dead hands! Way to go Alex. Very funny there at the end.

Heh, seanmahair!! Post a smile up here, will you?

Hey thanks for the responses.
I actually had picked out a different song originally, but then downloaded “The hall of the Mountain King.” It works better because you can hear Timothy Olyphant say, “I’m doing the world a favor” clear. But if you want to see what it woulda looked like with my original choice, check out “One Winged Angel” on youtube. The link is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_MW65XxS7s
Anyway, I plan on doing some more videos in a similar vein.

I am sad to report that we had a prior engagement that took us away from my home last night. If we would have been home we planned to light up our house like an airport. All exterior lights were going to be on as well as at least one in every room. Its just a small way of me telling the enviro-Nazis “bite me!” I can’t wait for next years Earth Whore.. I mean Earth Hour.

Darn. During Earth Hour, I intended to turn on every light in my house. But there was a storm that knocked power out for the entire night. its a conspiracy

Fight the absence of power!

Well done on the splice and dice, however, don’t you think that the eco-facists will co-opt this as their own? Truly, they see a future that, as the video stated, “If you won’t do it, we’ll do it for you.” Famous quote: “When an opponent declares, ‘I will not come over to your side.’ I calmly say “Your child belongs to us already… Who are you? You will pass on. Your descendents, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing else but this new community.” Could have been said by Al Gore yesterday, but said by Hitler those many years ago. Eco-Globo-New World Order-types stole Hitlers playbook and running with it.

I was reading IMAO during Earth Hour. Take that hippies!
March 29th, 2009 at 11:55 pm
Whatever, I turn on the lights that Americans won’t turn on.

Excellent! may I ask how you download the original youtube video to edit it?
My house was lit up so much during earth hour last night, you could see it from space!
March 30th, 2009 at 12:27 am
Bravo.
Aliens destroy Earth because we left the lights on.
Coincidentally, as realistic as manmade global warming!

Nice treatment! Having stretched the limits of my electrically powered devices during last years celebration, this year, I added direct release carbon to the mix. I lit a fire in both the fireplace and the deck fire pit with a nice array of tiki torches for accent.
I’m planning a nice oil spill on the lake for next year!

How can you have a clip like that and not splice in “Ass to ass” from Requiem?
March 30th, 2009 at 9:30 am
What was that last clip from with the beam hitting the Earth and it ultimately blowing up? It looks familiar, but I can’t put my finger on it.

A buddy of mine came to visit over the weekend. He had to leave his lights on for the whole weekend just to make sure they were on for Earth Hour.
March 30th, 2009 at 10:36 am
Freakin’ fantastic! I’m glad now I was too overbooked to attempt something (though with apologies to our host), because this is much better than what I had in mind.

I was glad to see Earth Hour fail like it was supposed to here in America, but unfortunatley North Korea and Antarctica showed the most support for having their lights off during Eco Nut Hour.

I had every light in my flat burning, my washer and dryer going, my dishwasher running, my patio light on, my Zune playing music in the speaker dock, every fan on and on High, and my Laptop was running a disk format.
It was a beautiful kind of Middle Finger hour.
March 30th, 2009 at 11:56 am
Oh, and I forgot to mention my TV and Surround sound running off my TiVo as well. Were it not dangerous, I’d have run my microwave the entire time as well.

Love the Peter and the Wolf Music. Priceless. Excellent Job!
March 30th, 2009 at 2:34 pm
