I just realized I’ve been so down on actual Republicans running for the presidential nomination today that I forgot to mention Ron Paul.
Ron Paul is a nut who is only out-nutted by his supporters, the super-nuts. That is all.

I think Ron Paul is part of the Clinton machine. Think about it, just like Ross Perot was in 1992 and 1996 which split the conservative vote allowing a victory by old Bill. Ron Paul is likely to run independent if he doesn’t get the Republican ticket thereby becoming Hillary’s Ross Perot. If Ron Paul was a team player he would support whoever does get the Republican ticket.
Sorry, Ryan, but Ron Paul will not split the conservative vote. Conservatives will still vote for the Republican (Fred!), and nutjobs/whackos/truthers/racists/anarchists will still vote for Ron Paul. The Republicans don’t want those votes anyways.
