California has nothing been nothing but trouble for America lately and will probably only help swallow us in debt. So here’s a new idea to take care of California:
We sell it.
You’re probably saying, “You’ve had that idea before!” Yeah, maybe I did — I’m not good on the remembering — but there is more to this idea. See, we sell it cheap (we can’t give it away or it will be suspicious) to some country. They’ll probably be like, “This is our chance to make it big!” and invest all they have in California. And maybe, miracle of miracles, they get California back in working order. Like maybe a brutal dictatorship takes it over and whips everyone in line. If that happens — BAM! — we invade California and take it back. It’s right there, so that should be easy.
This could be bad PR for us, though. What if giving California to another country will be compared to when we gave infected blankets to the Indians?

Bonus: when we conquer back California, we will have already constructed the “friendship wall” to keep Californians from freely spreading their crazy ways to the other states.

I have said several times we should box up Hollywood onto container ships and send to China to erase our debt with them. They will all get the communist dictatorship they want so bad. I think we should also do the same thing with Wall Street. We will be a little poorer as a country but better off overall. Think of all the trouble making idiots who can’t produce but only distort and drain the economy from the rest of us. The whole world wouldn’t be paying attention to us anymore and the international left would care a lot less about conquering us if we didn’t have Hollywood and Wall Street.
Warn me before you do. I want to leave here first. The weather is great ( a good selling point) on the “left coast”, but there are too many Fruits, Flakes, and Nuts, unless you are a cereal. Guess I’ll have to go hippie hunting somewhere else, but the hunting won’t be as good as here…………and no bag limit either!
Maybe, instead of selling California, they could create a federal hippie hunting license, it would take years to get rid of all of them out here and would be a definite revenue maker

Sometime in the 1880s (not sure about the year) Egypt was so far in debt after massive modernization efforts that Britain essentially repo’d the country. Seeing the recent trends in European countries and the similar ideologies present in much of California, I think that no one would object to this course of action.
Not a bad idea. I live in California and I’ve been here for 25 years. This place has gone to SH*T and it was caused by a progressive movement. That movement has infected DC NOW. Do you know how many House members are from California? 53 out of 435, that’s a huge percentage compared to the rest of the country. And just look at the path the nation is on… Pelosi at the helm of a sinking ship.

Ron White had a good idea (different piece of real estate, but works for California too): sell it to someone we know won’t be able to make the payment. We get the down payment, a few monthly payments to begin with, then when they default, we take it back free and clear.
Call it the collateral on our debt to China – then tell them to come and get it. Put up a good border control first, to keep the infection contained.
Give it back to Mexico.
Terry_Jim, Texas does not want California. More trouble than it is worth and real estate is way too inflated. Give it back to Mexico.
He, could you guys at least give me a heads up before you do. Ya can’t choose where your work is after all. I like the hippie hunting idea. Give us a license and we’ll have this state back into state into no time.
