The UN’s Perfectly Reasonable Advice for Being a Better Citizen of Planet Earth

A UN official said in an interview that Western nations “don’t need more cars, more TVs.”

  1. i wonder how many tv’s and cars he has and is he from a “western country” and the “poor” in the USA live far greater then most of the middle class in the rest of the world so he can go fly a kite with a key on in a thunderstorm.

  2. Why must the very same faction of people who always want more money stand in the way of the prosperity that creates that money? If we listen to the fools who tell us what to do there would be no one working to provide the taxes they wish to slave out of nations.

  3. We all know it’s a zero-sum game. Every TV you buy (I hear Basil has more than 530 television sets, some that still shut off with the white dot) is a TV some slob in Cameroon can’t buy. And it’s a damn shame, because Cameroon’s Funniest Home Videos is an awesome show.

Or would be, if Basil had not bought up too many video cameras.
