Nice little piece of buck-passing on Obama’s part, mentioning during his weekly address that Republicans “haven’t lifted a finger” toward job creation.
Yeah, unlike that one finger Obama keeps lifting.

Yeah, unlike that one finger Obama keeps lifting.
And the Democrat-controlled Senate hasn’t lifted a finger to pass a budget in 3 years.
D.C. needs to be shut down.
Unus digitus seditio!
(One finger uprising)
“I hope they can see this, because I’m doing it harder than I ever have before!”
Ignignokt, the Mooninite.
Actually, that’s kinda the idea. The less the president and congress do, the more jobs will be created and the faster the economy will recover.
@4of7: “Unus digitus seditio” implies a collective action, i.e., “a one-finger uprising”. Basically, what the Occupiers are doing: having a one-finger uprising. (Seditio=sedition)
Being quite a few years removed from what I picked up from the Loyolans and God’s Noble Dogs (Domini-cani), I believe the phrase sought is:
“Unus digitus non erigo/erigum” (One finger not raised).
(Removes pedagogues’s mortarboard, places it back on the shelf.)
#4 – Bunkerhillbilly,
I thought I did pretty good for having just checked the first English/Latin translating site I found on Google.
So, One finger raised would be Unus digitus erigo?
I liked the word seditio because it implied one not just raising a finger, but why they were doing it.
