According to LOTR, Vol 3, ROTK, Appendix B, The Tale of Years, p.412;
Tomorrow, Jan. 15, is the anniversary of the day Gandalf fell into the abyss with the Balrog.
(Jan.15, 3019 Third Age).
On Jan 23, Gandalf pursues the Balrog to the peak of Zirakzigil, where 2 days later, on the 25th of January, he casts down the Balrog and dies.
That’s a 10 day, no breaks, no holds barred non-stop smackdown – that has to take a lot out of guy over 2000 years old!
(He came back to life later, but the point is — He Should Have Had A Gun!)
Too bad our local gun shops out here in the Wacky West Coast are picked absolutely clean; Not a box of useful ammo (you can get .17Mag, whoohoo, and some .410 loads are still around) or a useful-calibered firearm left to be had. I had to wait 30 days before my new toy came into stock (ordered it back in early December) and my 10-day waiting period (which couldn’t start until the unit was in stock and could be identified by Serial Number) finally ends on the 21st. & now, no ammo for it til who knows when?
Psst. Either 19 Jan is a
FridaySaturday or I’m looking at a bad calendar.@1 – DOH!
…
Fixed.
Things you can do on “Gun Appreciation Day.”
* Take your gun out to lunch.
* Buy your gun a good message.
* Give your gun the day off to do what it wants.
* Hug your gun.
I’m a cat. I don’t do appreciation.
EVERY day is gun appreciation day on my calendar.

Just DO NOT take it to Denny’s…. even if you ARE a cop!
My gun is well behaved, CT. Why can’t I take it to Lenny’s?

S&W should award Barry “Salesman of the Decade.”
