Love Weird Al. Seems like a class act. White and Nerdy is so great, especially the video. And Amish Paradise!
Well, if we’re dealing with weird lyrics . . .
. . . . .
What I think is admirable
You may think is not
What I think desirable
You may think utter rot.
If we prefer division
On what we prefer
Why not on the decision
About using “him” or “her”?
(If someone has decided
To use the royal “we”
I will still deride it
Because — reality)
You can’t pretend that words don’t matter
Then act as if they do
Is it the former or the latter?
Choose one, and that’ll do.
It all will be decided, but,
You’ll find ultimately
Karma’s here, if you’re a you-know-what,
And you know what? So is she.
Coda:
The same applies to everything
The truth is persistent.
The pendulum will never swing
If it wants to be consistent.
Examine your premises
Not in your boundaries, but in your mind;
And do not tempt Nemesis:
She can be unkind.
I got a joke… Two Army boys, Leroy & Cletus, from the hills of Alabama, were promoted right from privates to Sergeants because of their great marksmanship with rifles.
Not long after, they’re out for a walk and Leroy says, “Hey, Cletus, There’s the NCO Club. Let’s you and me stop in.” “But we’s privates,” protests Cletus. “We’s sergeants now,” says Leroy, pulling him inside. “Well, Cletus, I’m a gonna sit down and have me a drink.” “But we’s privates,” says Cletus. “Are you blind, boy?” asks Leroy, pointing at his stripes. We’s sergeants now, so hush your mouth!”
So they have their drinks and pretty soon a hooker comes up to Leroy. “You’re cute,” she says, “and I’d like to date you, but I’ve got a bad case of gonorrhea.” “Leroy pulls his friend to the side and whispers, “Cletus, go look in the dictionary and see what gonorrhea means. If it’s okay, give me the okay sign.”
So Cletus goes to look it up, comes back and gives Leroy the big okay sign. Three weeks later Leroy is laid up in the infirmary with a terrible case of gonorrhea.
“Cletus,” he says, “why did you give me the okay sign?”
“Well Leroy, in the dictionary, it says gonorrhea affects only the privates.” He points to his stripes. “But we’s sergeants now!”
