  1. Damn, you’re correct. I hear they printed about 50,000 of these pitiful examples of quality control. This is what happens when government regulations such as the Americans with Disabilities Act says that Helen Keller is as qualified for this job as Alexander Hamilton. Great intentions, but being carried out by folks without common sense.
Leland, I would think the coins will always bring a little but, with that many floating around, it is not exactly anything rare.

  2. They should just change all the “In God We Trust” writings to “In God Some Peeps Trust” then everyone is happy. The Christian right should go for that now while they still have a chance. Everyone knows that when the young Internet users start entering politics in 10 to 20 years gay marriage and euthanasia being legal are a certainty. All the Bush administration has done is stalled the progressive movement here in the U.S. If the Christian right wants to keep the “In God We Trust” thing they best move to modify it now while they still have a chance.

  3. I hate to say it but, with your help Sorgasm Man, the coins will probably have a crescent moon and star on it. Then you will be able to publicly spit on Christians. Muslims don’t like athiest either. You’ll convert. Guaranteed.

I don’t actually care if the coins and buildings say “In God We Trust” or if they don’t. It doesn’t have a single thing to do with faith — I don’t think Jesus said anything about needing his name or God’s name on our currency. He mostly talked about making sure the poor are taken care of. I don’t want a Christian state or an Islamist state. You Mr. Rockstar are the one who is freaky enough to actually support both — a Christian State here in the USA and an Islamist State in Iraq, which is what the stupid Iraq War is helping to create.

  5. Your an idiot, dude. I wasn’t looking at this from a religious aspect at all, other than your obvious disdain for Christians. I was looking at it from the stand-point of: You equate Christians to Islamofascist. Did I mention that you are an idiot. You know, I’ll bet no-one on the planet, let alone in America is afraid of going shopping because some Christian might blow himself up. Your constant bitchy-nagging doesn’t help. Go back to Kos where you can kiss some butt. At least you will be doing something positive as Kos will have a clean ass.

  6. I heard that on the Walton and Johnson show . . . you don’t want to start jumping to conclusions, but the width (or border) is the first to rub off. Of course, one could argue they aren’t going to be used that much. They could have put both phrases on the back. The statue of liberty doesn’t really associate with George Washington.
George Washington doesn’t look like he approves. 🙁
“Good enough for government work.” I thought my dad and I were the only ones left who said that! Hehe.

  7. So Sacman,
When does this Christian State you talk about actually start persecuting you personally. Seriously, when does the shit go down and folks like you and I have to start dodging those Christian bullets. It’s not like you invented this persecution complex. I grew up in the late 70’s early 80’s when Reagan’s Christian army was gonna’ get us all. Didn’t happen, not even close.
Let me give you a hint: If the peeps and their Christian beliefs offend you and fill you with fear than
    TOO F***ING BAD!!!
They do after all, have the same right’s to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and POLITICAL POWER that anyone else does.
You think you have better ideas than them; fine. I spend half my time disagreeing with them and all my time disagreeing with folks like yourself. You can drop the bullshit persecution complex. Stop being a God damn wuss every time somebody gives you a funny glance.

  8. All of these people worried about a Christian State.
    Grow up.
If we did not create one when we were the overwhelming Majority, why would we possibly do so now?
All we want is for the rest of you to quit eroding our rights, we are not trying to erode yours. Allowing the status quo is not supporting a Christian State in the U.S.

  9. Why should we have “In God We Trust” on our money when it is patently apparent that this statement is totally false. We (our government and most of the people living here, the collective we not the personal we) not only do not trust in God, we don’t believe in him either.
The thing that frightens and saddens those of us who do still trust and believe in Him, is that it’s starting to look like “God” doesn’t believe in us. He’s probably rethinking the whole creation business. If it were me I’d have imploded the whole planet, right about 1977 years ago, to be exact.
