Allahpundit Versus Charles Johnson

Charles Johnson has finally baited Allahpundit into smacking him down — Charles really doesn’t seem to know how to pick his enemies anymore. Charles Johnson’s reaction was so childish it demonstrated why he’s not worth the time now.

I think some people are afraid Allahpundit may end up like Charles Johnson; Allahpundit likes to make fun of creationists and keep a safe distance from the conservative base. I don’t see it happening, though. The thing missing in the equation that leads to spite and a radical shift in political views is a big sense of self-importance. Allahpundit is self-deprecating, while Charles Johnson is quite humorless in regards to any criticism. His main complaint with Hot Air right now is that his blog was moved under left-wing in the Hot Air links (when he should just feel lucky he’s linked at all). Sorry, but you can’t spend all day hyperventilating about right-wing “extremists” and being an incredulous moron towards any made up info about conservatives (yes, the guy who exposed the Rather memos is now a big believer in “Fake But Accurate”) and be anything but left-wing.

Anywho, I don’t think Allahpundit is in risk of going all spiteful and crazy. That’s good, because in this time of over-excitement, we need a good Eeyore-pundit. And I don’t want to do that; I like blowing things out of proportion.

  1. Thanks for the laughs, today, Frank.

“That’s good, because in this time of over-excitement, we need a good Eeyore-pundit. And I don’t want to do that; I like blowing things out of proportion.”

    LOL

You’re the only pundit who can blow a bubble with your tongue stuck in the right side of your cheek.

    Hey! Laurence Simon IS B A C K.

Not in this lifetime, probably. Just remember: atheists and social liberals in general are fair-weather friends to conservativism, and once they deem there is “enough” fiscal freedom, they’ll whine like good liberals that priests shouldn’t have opinions, that abortion can’t be called child murder, drugs should be legal, and all those things that eventually lead back to fiscal oppression (because the progression is social conservative -> fiscal conservative, and the latter can’t stand without the former).
Whether it’s so fortunate that such fiscal freedom is nowhere near the reach of this generation, and that it’s probably not going to be necessary to deal with turned social liberals, is another pair of hands.
(At least they’re not libertarians, who’d quit the fight the moment they have cheap drugs.)
    >in this time of over-excitement, we need a good Eeyore-pundit.
The hell you do. You need feet on the ground and clear head, not we’re-all-doomed defeatists. Despite the widespread belief, the overexcited and the defeatists do NOT compensate each other.

  3. Charles Johnson will forever be remembered with great respect for his graphic demonstrating the CBS acceptance of forged documents. Anything else he does is either icing on the cake or something that will be forgotten by history. A decade or two from now, school kids looking at Wiki entries on the former news show, CBS Evening News, will see that graphic with a link to Johnson’s website (or its archive on Bing/Google/AstralProjection).

    Everything else is superfluous.

  4. Athiest on athiest matchup. That’s a good way to get web traffic. People going back and forth to see the snarkings between Hot Air and LGF. Increases web trafic between the two sites enabling Michelle Malkin and Charles Johnson to cash in phat advertising checks. Maybe IMAO should start some Right Wing Humor blog war. I nominate IMAO premptively attacks Iowahawk. There is potentialy 5 posters here vs. one for Iowahawk. The numbers look good. Plus I can’t think of any other right leaning humor blogs except for the Daily Kos. A blog as stupid as Daily Kos has to be a joke.

  5. FRANK! IGNORE BRS. I must be Iowahawk’s sole reader…….. I really don’t want to have to SHUN you. Don’t make me do it! I’ll shun you so hard you’ll need a new IP address! ……. Can’t we all just get along???

AAAAALLLLL weeeee are saaaaaaaaaaayiiiing is give piece a chaaaaaaancccceeee

Come on Troy. Haven’t you been paying attention to Ron Paul? War is only done to make money by the American Millitary Industrial Autobot complex, and to to profit from the harbringer, pickel jar of war with all the other conformist…. or something like that. It never made sence to me either, But what I think Ron Paul was saying is you can make serious money by starting wars. And who better to profit that my two favorite (and only two I can think of) Right Wing Humor sites.

  7. Well, if there’s a chance he’ll finally disappear into obscurity, count on Sean Hannity to revive him…just as he just did with Michael Moore after his new movie just tanked, just as he did with Charles Rangel for years, just as he does with Bob Beckel…I could go on.

  8. Oh, well if its the name of PROPHETS well thats all good then! I believe in spreading the good word too.

Ummm ..if I’m going to play that game Ima gonna have to sum of dem der “Prophets” do their thing by making their way to me……. know whut Im saying? And then of course I’ll have to figure out which side to fight for…… guess I’ll do that by determining which side has the most prophets……did I mention I love capitalism?

  9. Nuking the moon, OTOH, is a perfectly proportionate action.

Couldn’t resist adding just one thing to the excellent comments:

A decade or two from now, school kids looking at Wiki entries on the former news show, CBS Evening News, will see that graphic with a link to Johnson’s website (or its archive on Bing/Google/AstralProjection).

    Everything else is superfluous.

Everything but this (which I mention only because Johnson put a tip about Open DNS on his blog back in his good days and that has really helped me a lot in terms of fending off hackers and other Net vermin, and also because it takes more than idealism to successfully fight for truth, i.e., know what to expect when you take on Goliath): No one steps on Superman’s cape without paying for it. No. One. Superman’s really funny that way, and he’s way meaner than a junk yard dog, too. Maybe it will take 10 years, maybe more, but some day, I hope that Wiki entry will tell the complete story, whatever it might be.

Maybe it’s complete now; maybe not. Who knows. (AstralProjection could tell us now, of course, but I can’t get that to work with Vista.) It doesn’t matter overall anyway–I’m just saying.

    Forward unto the breach!

  10. Iowahawk?
We all know who FrnakJ really wants to get into a blogfight with: Scrappleface!

Or… he could do a post about Sadly, No! and get them all riled again. They’re funny as they try to figure out if it’s satire or parody. The furrowing of the brows is just too funny.
