Wingnuts satirical logo isn’t funny … what … it’s real?

I saw where the Missile Defense Agency has a new logo:

Funny, I thought. But the left will throw a hissy-fit when they find out that some right-winger combined the MDA’s logo, the Obama logo, and the Islamic crescent. I could hear the charges of racism already.

Then I found out it was real (via Wild Thing).

Here’s where I make some comment making fun of it. But it’s hard … really hard … to make fun of something that’s a parody of itself.

So, I’ll just shake my head. Join me, won’t you?

  1. Someone is brilliant. Obama supporters hate missile defense, but the Obama symbol has a hypnotic effect on them, that makes them believe all kinds of wild claims. Now, every time they want to whine about missile defense not working, they will look at that symbol, be filled with feelings of hopeyness and changeness, and relent that maybe missile defense is a good thing.

  2. Logo….. interesting.

    Website….. scary!

There is an entire section called “Potential New Technologies”

Potential Technologies? You have a plan that relies in part on something you HOPE to have at some time in the future. Maybe. And its made from unobtanium I bet.

  3. It reminds me very much of Capt. Video’s secret decoder ring logo, I know, I had one. It was made of high grade plastic and only cost about ten thousand candy bar wrappers. You got a space cadet ID card with it too. You could decode secret messages from Capt. Video with it, which he gave you at the end of each episode, it was cool.

  4. Is a goatse akin to a demon sheep? Or did you mean ghost?
It looks kind of generically Star-Treky to me.

[“goatse”? You really don’t want to know. Really. You don’t. I’m not joking.

If you think I’m joking, Google it. Click images at your peril.

    You have been warned.

No, I’m not joking. And, if you actually look it up, you will discover that when I say “I’m not joking,” then I mean that I’m not joking. – B]
