First Contact

The U.N. has appointed someone to be our first contact with extraterrestrials should we ever be visited by them. I’m pretty sure, though, if something important like that happened, we’d keep the U.N. far away from it as possible as we do all other important things.

U.N.: “Aliens have landed! We need to talk to them!”

US: “But look what I found here: A paddle ball game for you to play with.”

U.N.: “Yay! Paddle ball! Hee hee hee!”

Of course, the best way to handle alien contact would be to tell the aliens, “Just go in here to talk to our leader,” and as soon as they go in the room they find it’s actually full of angry badgers and we locked the door behind them. Then we steal their spaceships and sell them at our galaxy’s nearest spaceship dealer for space gold. Who knows what’s out there in the universe; better have lots of space gold just in case.

Other Horrors from Gitmo

We’ve heard a lot of awful things about Gitmo, but here’s the latest: Only one ice cream per terrorist. That’s right; that brutal prison is now cutting back on ice cream. If you’re a terrorist who likes two ice creams per day and is captured by America , you might as well just kill yourself.

And here are some of the other horrors from Gitmo:

OTHER HORRORS FROM GITMO

* Store-brand sodas.

* For personal music listening, detainees are given Zunes.

* Only allowed two picnics per week.

* Detainees have been unable to get funding for their planned “Kitten Village” — a fully functioning village to house all their kittens.

* Their Nintendo Wii system doesn’t have MotionPlus for all four controllers.

* Netflix takes three whole days to get the the next movie on the detainees’ queues.

* Their HD DVRs can only record one channel at a time.

* They only get taco night once a month.

* Guards refuse to hunt down the more obscure songs for karaoke.

* Only enough ice and stones for six teams to play at once in the detainees’ curling league.

* Sometimes detainees are subjected to depressing glimpses of Cuban citizens.

Is Anyone Responsible Watching Alan Grayson?

So Alan Grayson now has a new ad out in which he falsely calls his opponent — who was in ROTC but failed his medical exam after college — a draft dodger (Grayson never served in the military) and directly challenges his love of country. It’s like Grayson gets all his ideas from reading the comment sections of left-wing blogs because that’s the only place everything he does wouldn’t be laughed at as utterly moronic and despicable. Does the guy have any adult supervision, or is the Democratic leadership just quietly ignore him figuring he’ll be gone soon?

The saddest thing is that he’s hailed as a hero by much of the nutroots who have always treasured infantile screams over actually convincing anyone or getting candidates elected. I really hope they soon invent a pill to help those people. Well, hopefully they have a good scream prepared for November.

Uses for RINOs

So Mike Castle is considering a write-in campaign, but looking at a poll in Alaska where Murkalukey is mainly taking votes away from the Democrat, we might want to encourage it. Apparently, right now Republicans aren’t looking for someone squishier to vote for, but Democrats are looking for someone more Republicany. So Castle getting into the election might actually help give crazy, crazy O’Donnell more of chance.

So there’s a use for a RINO — to siphon votes away from Democrats during a general election. Other uses for RINOs include serving punch at GOP parties, carrying things, and sitting in your passenger seat so you can use the car pool lane. So there are reasons we keep them around.

Hippie Punching at the White House?

A liberal blogger has accused David Axelrod of punching hippies. That’s pretty interesting, because if the Obama White House hired me as a consultant, that would be the first thing I’d recommend to them.

OBAMA WHITE HOUSE: “So what do you think–”

ME: “Punch some hippies!”

OBAMA WHITE HOUSE: “But shouldn’t we–”

ME: “Do it now!”

OBAMA WHITE HOUSE: “But isn’t the issue–”

ME: “Why aren’t you punching hippies right now?!!”

Same advise I gave Bush.

But they didn’t hire me as a consultant, so I kinda doubt they’re punching hippies. From them, hippie hugging is more believable, which is horrible as it just gets stinky hippie all over you.

Still, the liberal blogger complaint is that while the White House wants the money and enthusiasm of the left-wing freaks on the net, they don’t want to be publicly seen with those weirdos as they creep everybody out. So, basically Axelrod is being accused of being strategic and sensible, a really odd charge for this White House.

Anyway, so the smart thing for Axelrod to do is be all like, “You know I love you, baby,” to the liberals bloggers and then as soon as camera is pointed at them — WHAM! Right in the face. Then everyone will be like, “Did you see how the Obama administration punched those hippies? They do share our concerns — the concern of there being too many un-punched hippies.” But I don’t think we will get any hippies punched by this administration; just another reason we should have elected Fred Thompson.

The Politician of the Future

Thanks to Ace, I’ve found out what an awesome opponent Barney Frank has. His name is Sean Bielat and he’s a Marine who builds robots. That’s right – he kills terrorists and he builds robots! That’s exactly the sort of people who as a child I would have thought we’d have running for office in 2010. Barney Frank, on the other hand, would be who I’d imagine would be in charge if I was thinking we were going to have a dystopian future run by incomprehensible idiots who ruin economies.

Anyway, hopefully this is our future: Marines taking back Congress backed up by their robot buddies. Just as Heinlein envisioned.

How Many People Think Obama Is an Evil Wizard?

Here’s an Onion article: Poll: 1 In 5 Americans Believe Obama Is A Cactus. But that got me thinking. Right now the left likes to freak out if some poll shows a few people think Obama is a Muslim or not born in this country — of course, though they’re in full freak out mode right now. But has anyone ever done a control case on these type polls? Like poll how many people think Obama is the reincarnation of Hitler or that Obama is mentally retarded or that Obama is an evil wizard? Also, could poll stuff like whether Obama is the second coming of Christ or whether Obama is an advanced human sent from the future to save us.

My guess is that a lot of people just answer these completely partisan and if they don’t like Obama they select what they consider to be the bad answer and if they like Obama they select what they consider to be the good answer — and thus the answers should change with the president’s popularity (which is why even more people think Obama is a Muslim now since everyone thinks he sucks). Nothing more to it than that. I remember some polls during the Bush years where it was like half of Democrats said they thought Bush either knew about or caused 9/11, yet Democrats didn’t really act like they thought the president murdered U.S. citizens (or, at least, I hope if Americans thought the president was a mass murderer, they’d do more than whine a whole bunch). So could people please stop freaking out about these things. All this paranoia about paranoia could lead to violence — mainly me punching you.

More Pledges for America

The GOP has unveiled “A Pledge to America”, listing their agenda when they take back the House. It’s pretty good, but I can think of a few things to spice it up and really help the Republicans win in November:

MORE PLEDGES FOR AMERICA

* Our nation’s borders will be protected by giant robots.

* Foods will no longer get FDA approval unless they contain bacon.

* To help stimulate the economy, people who whine about the rich will be fired out of cannons.

* We will have a new manned mission to the moon and build a libertarian utopia there.

* We will keep reducing the federal government until it can be run out of some guy’s garage.

* Anytime there is a tax increase, one of the people who voted for it will be randomly chosen to be a human sacrifice to Moloch, god of taxes.

* Obamacare will be destroyed, and all perpetrators of it will be hunted down and forced to battle to the death in the Thunderdome.

* Any new spending increases must receive written permission from all voters.

What do you want added to the GOP agenda?

His High Score Could Be Your Death

Somehow a gorilla (scientific name Gorilla gorilla, subspecies gorilla) got his hands on a Nintendo DS:

"My brain age is 80?!"

They say a kid dropped it in there, and I just hope that’s true. What’s the other possibility? That he ordered it through Amazon? That they have the internet in there and are learning? And now they have a video game system and could reverse engineer the microchips in it. Then they’ll start building their own tech in their underground gorilla lab and eventually we’ll be attacked from the inside by gorilla’s wielding death rays! If you think the economy is bad now, wait until that happens!

We need to take more measure to make sure technology doesn’t fall into the hands of monkeys — call it the Heston Law or something. We all have to remain vigilant if we want to prevent a planet of the apes.
