So Netanyahu spoke to Congress, and he actually got more standing ovations in his speech than Obama did in his last State of the Union. So why does a foreigner seem more popular than the American president? I guess Americans have a special place in there heart for Israel. Israel has real evil on all sides trying to destroy them plus most of the world against them — they’re basically America as we like to see ourselves: the scrappy underdog trying to take on evil. And Obama is certainly a poor representation of that. He’s a guy who spent most of his life in made up jobs like “community organizer” and sees being the leader of the free world as a time to enforce social change on everyone such as his health care plan. When people are being murdered by tyrants, he only reluctantly lifts a finger. That’s not what we want to be at all.
Anyway, we have a lot of focus on the economy — and rightfully so — but we still have to remember that we are the leader of the free world and that entails a lot more than just being financially successful. The struggles of Israel remind us what are the important things we need to stick up for because no one (other than Israel) will.

Bibi for President.
Hemorrhoids are more popular than Obama.
Obibi vs. Obambi
Bibi spoke of good and evil, a fight for survival against savage neighbors. Well that, and Bibi’s speech wasn’t filled with I, me, myself, and again I.
Why would Netanyahu seem more popular than Obama? Because Netanyahu has a greater love for, respect for, and appreciation of the United States than does Obama.
@Basil: You are precisely right. Obama is only technically a US citizen – he sees himself as a citizen of the World, and the World frankly doesn’t think very highly of the United States. Even the cheese-eating surrender monkeys who would be speaking German but for the USA only remember to pretend to be grateful during D-Day anniversary ceremonies. Citizen Obama has crapped all over the “special relationship” with Britain, so it really is down to the US and Israel versus, well, everybody. (Even Canadians think they are better than us! Have you SEEN what they call BACON?!)
Yeah, DamnCat, and both are protruberances.
Maybe the fact that Bibi’s promises don’t come with an expiration date has something to do with it?
I went to a chiropractor today for the first time and found out I’m flatfooted – but it can be adjusted. Maybe Obama should see a chiropractor.
@Crabby. you are correct. Not that there is anything wrong with ham, but it is not bacon. The canadians should get a grip. They would be stuck with kidney pie and spotted dick if it weren’t for us. The canadians are like the little dweeb above a great apartment. They are only useful when we need to give someone a wedgie.
bibi even speaks better thatn sasquatch’s husband.
Comparing Netanyahu to Barack Hussein is like comparing a Ferrari to a Yugo.
Marko, I looked-up “flatfoot indian” and found this:

Enjoy. (Maybe it would help you, don’t know.)
“Bibi More Popular Than ‘Bama?”
Why, did you feel a question mark was needed?
I been sitting here trying to think of something less popular than bama.
Oh, I know, ” THE BLACK PLAQUE “.
Off Topic: So, now MSNBC had to suspend the mentally insane Ed Schultz because for no reason that makes any logical sense he decided to call Laura Ingraham a “slut” and a “talk slut” – then came out and made a pathetic apology today. So, Olberman was finally fired, Schultz had to be suspended. When is somebody in the upper management of NBC finally going to realize that their funny little experiment to hire a bunch of mentally unhinged far left-wingers to rant on the air on their little MSNBC network has completely spun out of control. The phrase the inmates are running the asylum has never been more accurate.
Bibi has brass nads! Obama…not so much! Bibi said we don’t need America to defend Israel, we will defend Israel! I like that! Now if Obama could figure out that he’s President of a particular country and not the world…strike that…we don’t want him focusing his energy on America. Someone tell him he’s President of Canada!
Israel, in my opinion, is the only country that is both virtuous and serious. We in the United States haven’t been serious for a long time; electing people like Obama, Pat Quinn (the idiot governor of Illinois), and Barbara Boxer is evidence of that. Iran is serious, although not competent, and definitely not virtuous.
Israel is a democracy. It’s a democracy in which Palestinians, who are the excuse that Arabs use for hating Israel, are treated better than they are anywhere in the Arab world. Moreover, Israel knows and is willing to pay the price for its freedom (and very existence). We have a major political party in the United States whose members and supporters have convinced themselves that there is no price to pay, and, unfortunately, we have another major political party with many members who are so concerned with getting re-elected that they aren’t willing to take much in the way of action to pay the price.
That is a reasonable summary of why I’ll applaud Bibi Netanyahu but sit on my hands when any of the vast majority of American politicians appears.
Bibi’s the bomb. Iowa Jim’s right, and Bibi is one of those leaders who rise up in a time of trouble in a virtuous nation. We know what it’s like to be reviled and hated for no good reason; however, our experience pales by comparison to the vortex of lies in which Israel exists. Bibi knows that Obama would completely hang Israel out to dry given any sort of chance, and so it is ever more important that he present Israel’s case with clarity to Congress and the American people.
We will be lesser men should we let anything happen to Israel.
Damn good post, Frank.
I once attended a charity machine-gun shoot at a local gun range and got to shoot an Uzi sub-machine-gun and a Desert Eagle .50. (both made in Israel).
It was Awesome. (Like Israel).
To be fair, I also shot an Ingram Mac-10 (9mm), M-3 grease-gun, Thompson sub-machine-gun (both .45), and a S&W 500 magnum (all made in the USofA) and they were also Awesome. (So there’s still hope for us!)
