Mute Point

Obama says that when people say bad things about him on TV, we should just hit the mute button. Of course, the big negative thing about him right now is his own statement of, “You didn’t build that!” So should we also mute it when Obama is speaking? Because I already do that. And I still hate him.

  1. I prefer playing the “Anointed One Drinking Game.”

Have a drink: Whenever Obama says “Let me be clear.”
Have another drink: When he talks about his predecessor.
Finish the drink: When he blames the Republican House.

Have a shot: Whenever Obama says “I” or “my administration.”
Have another: Whenever he mentions the word “fair” in any context other than Snow White.

  2. When the occupant speaks, I envy the deaf.

When the occupant speaks, I usually look around for the abandoned baby.

    I wish he were mute.

I bet the BRO guys get real confused when in DC.

I always thought that harpies could only be women.

    Oh wait.

  3. Since Obama wouldn’t want anyone to have to “do that for themselves”, a Mute Czar will need to be appointed to run the bureaucracy that handles making sure that all descent is muted properly.

An executive order should handle that just fine.

I also usually mute him (if it’s a commercial) or change the channel (if it’s a speech). But sometimes I watch the commercials and then swear loudly at the television while calling Obama lots of names. It’s not particularly useful, but it does make me feel better for a few moments.

  5. I can honestly say that I haven’t heard a word he’s said since before he got “elected”, I have a fast mute thumb and I’ve trained listening to talk radio that is being targeted with really really annoying PSAs (gee, I wonder if it’s intentional?)

I believe that muting all descent is the subject of the adage, “Children should be seen and not heard.” I know that every time my descendant opens her mouth, I lose something – money, peace of mind, my grip on control of my household . . . .

Muting all dissent is handled by the war-cry, “RAAAAAAACIST!1!!!”
