Aww man, it got taken down. I kind of figured that had to happen even though the movies were unwatchable in this format (well, episodes I through III were made a bit more watchable by it). It was oddly fascinating, though, especially the beginning with all six Star Wars logos zooming out (nearly) in sync and fast forwarding to the end with six different climatic action sequences going on at once. Well, maybe it will get mirrored somewhere. Until then, just imagine the cacophony in your head.
So, anyway, Episode VII, directed by J.J. Abrams and with the original cast coming back — are you expecting a big train wreck or keeping some hopes up? I have some hopes — but it will never be like the anticipation for Episode I. I was so excited — could hardly believe after my childhood of watching the first three over and over I was actually going to get to see a new Star Wars movie. And then I saw it.
I’ve been a cold, jaded man ever since.
You already know I’m I’m going to say!
“It’s dead, Jim.”
One vote “train wreck”
. . . Han’s So Old, Dowager Duchess Leia, Use Awalker . . . .
“Train Wreck” gets my vote
George ruined my childhood….darn him to the depths of hades. I have no hope the senior citizen Alliance hit squad will be anything other than comically bad. They’ll try to save it with 3D, 40000 CGI effects, Sensoround and probably smell’o vision. Harrison’s heavily ben gay slathered knees will be overpowering compared to Carrie’s watered down Windsong. Ugh.
I had a new hope to see how Abrams strikes back with a triumphant return of the Jedi, Until I found out that “J.J.” is short for “Jar Jar”.
There are no words for the disappointment that was Star Wars episode I.
I’m hoping for a train wreck.
My expectations are beyond low for any future Star Wars movies. I’m not even planning on watching any more Star Wars movies they make. Maybe I’ll download them and watch them, but I’m certainly not paying any money to see them.
I’m planning on only showing my kids the original trilogy; nothing else is cannon to my mind.
When I think of there being a 7th Star Wars movie, I crush my rising hopes by reminding myself that there was a 4th Indiana Jones movie.
See South Park for my feelings on THAT one.
I’m thinking train wreck, too. But Harvey, speaking of South Park, I WOULD actually pay to see an updated version of Team America: World Police!
