Obama Is Not Really the 1st Amendment President

So we’re gone like a whole week talking about a rodeo clown. The White House has reacted to it finally. Was it tell everybody to stop freaking out because who cares if an American president is ridiculed? No, that would only happen if we had a president who cherished the freedom of speech. Instead, the White House poured more fuel on the fire by condemning the act.

We don’t really have a president who cares for much for any part of the 1st Amendment, do we? He’s demonstrated time and again that he cares little for freedom of religion — at least it’s not as important as forcing people to pay for Sandra Fluke’s contraception. This rodeo clown incident shows standing up for freedom of speech isn’t a big priority and he’s always just seemed annoyed people are allowed to disagree with him. As for freedom of the press, he seems rather unconcerned about Eric Holder spying on reporters. And as for peaceable assembly, we’ve seen how his cronies go after the Tea Party.

Of course, the 2nd Amendment is also just a nuisance to him he marginally tolerates. He’s just not a big Bill of Right/freedom president. He’s a “I have these left-wing policies I want to force on you and I don’t care how it’s done and stop criticizing me” president. Or, as you might call it more succinctly, a really really crappy president.

That’s what we get for electing a community organizer, instead of someone who once held a real job, like a rodeo clown.

  1. Since he thinks he only has to enforce the laws he wants to it isn’t a far stretch to only enforce the Amendments you want to as well. Normally there is a word for this type of governance…it will come to me….in a minute…oh yes, DICTATORSHIP. that’s it.

  2. “I disagree with what you say, but I’ll de-fund to the death your right to say it.”

The governor of Missouri stated that the performance, which involved Obama being chased by a bull, did not “reflect the values of Missourians”. . . .

The lieutenant governor “implored” the governor to “hold the people responsible for the other night accountable”. . . .

The Missouri State Fair apologized and banned the unnamed rodeo clown for life and announced that they are reviewing their contract with the Missouri Rodeo Cowboys Association.

  3. I don’t think people grasped how scary and huge the phrase “fundamentally transform America” was when Obama uttered it back in 2008. He wasn’t saying “This is a pretty good place but could stand a few tweaks” he was saying “I want to gut this place and make it completely different than it is. If you like it now–too bad.”

  4. Michael Moore wrote (or probably somebody else wrote it for him) a book entitled Dude, Where’s My Country?, which has led me to assume that “country” is a word used in east-central Michigan to refer to what the rest of us know as a cheeseburger. I’d really like to know where my country is. I learned growing up that the United States stood for freedom, equality of rights, and the rule of law. For the past four years plus, it has stood for none of these.

  5. I propose a Constitutional Amendment banning politicians from expressing personal views about a non-political citizen of the USA. Why should these “clowns” have a right to denigrate someone on a world stage?

  6. Like I have told the governor of missouri and posted in other places, I have friends and family there. We hunt, fish, and do the tourist thing in missouri every year. But that stops now. If you marxists can’t take a joke, you certainly don’t need my money. my money is better spent in America.

  7. Obama Is Not Really the 1st Amendment President…or the 2nd…or 3rd…or 4th, 5th 6th….I doubt he even likes the 14th, I’ll bet that ‘father’ he dreamed of was a descendant of the people on the selling side of the …issue. The economy in Africa hasn’t been the same since.
