106,185 have “selected plans.” They haven’t even signed up. It’s an inflated number and it’s still horrible — especially compared to the millions thrown off their insurance for this.
I’m still trying to wrap my brain around how epic a failure this is. Hopefully, Obama will have convinced people for many years to come to not trust the government with large scale plans like this. We talk about the dangers of big government, but Obama went ahead and demonstrated it for all to see which is much more powerful.

…when he gets to 186,000 ObamaCare will have achieved the speed of blight.
Gee Obamacare has a much higher rating than I imagined. Who’d a thunk it?
Hedley Lamarr: If you will just sign this, Mr. President. Right here.
President Obama: Yes, yes. What the hell is it?
Hedley Lamarr: Well, under the provisions of this bill, we would snatch the insurance policies of several million Americans, which we have deemed unsuitable for their use at this time. They’re such children.
President Obama: Several million Americans? Several million Americans? What’ll it cost, man, what’ll it cost?
Hedley Lamarr: [brings out a carton of trillion dollar bills] A box of these.
President Obama: Are you crazy? They’ll never go for it. And then again they might. Those stupid morons… they love higher taxes!
Once 666 have actually paid.
Obama just announced a one year delay…Wasn’t that what Ted Cruz was asking for?
Give him 10 months to fix it.
But signing up is too complicated for the bros, not to mention the hos. You need to supply, like, numbers and stuff.
Best thing to do is to get out of Obama’s way. Worst thing is to try to soften the blow of pure, unadulterated Obama.
the obamacare number? how about 5%. that is what he says is the small number of americans getting cancelled due to obamacare. 5% of the US population is approximately 16,000,000. they would make the fifth largest state, between florida and illinois. or, put a different way, they equal the combined populations of:
west virginia, idaho, hawaii, maine, new hampshire, rhode island, montana, delaware, south dakota, alaska, north dakota, the district of columbia, vermont and wyoming.
a small number to obama and his ilk.
The problem is that it can still be plausibly blamed on mere incompetence rather than on the impossibility of the task and the soulless hunger for power that drove them to try. I have never been more proud of being a Republican than I am knowing that not one of them got co-opted into voting for this.
The Democrats are trying to run away from it hoping that we’ll forget in 2014. Something tells me… this time… it ain’t gonna happen. Now, THAT’s “hope.”
