Colorado voters have approved a 25% tax on recreational marijuana.
Sounds steep, but odds are the users will probably forget they paid it, anyway.

You could probably charge them the 25% both before and after use.
Of course, if Colorado really wants to make money, they need a 25% tax on any snack food sold with marijuana.
my fear is that with such a high tax inflating the price, people in Colorado may turn to the cheaper illegal pot. There’s really no effective way for law enforcement to tell if you paid tax on your pot…I’m sure even stoned politicians in Colorado know that asking a bunch of potheads to keep organized receipts for their pot purchases is an act of futility.
…so way to go with that symbolic gesture. liberals always say if pot was legal it could be taxed…and they say it like taxing stuff is desirable. Now on paper they have their example. Well…on paper until someone needs to roll one.
No taxation without representation, so quit Bogartin’ that joint civilian.
