Sometimes I’m think something is a great story for a joke, but then I realize the premise is already too funny so there’s no point in adding to it. For example:
People are comparing Obama’s foreign policies to those of Jimmy Carter, and Carter is offended.
That’s pretty perfect as is, but you can try turning it into a joke if you want.
Until Obama lets the Iranians hold US hostages for over a year, his policies do not stand up to Carter’s. Carter still holds the record for incompetence, but Obama has time to fix that.
I disagree Dods. Carter was very effective in tearing down this country, and should be offended when compared to Obama incompetent bumbling.
Carter gave the panama canal back, gave mixed signals to the shah of Iran inciting a revolution.
Canceled the Olympics on the basis of Soviet Russia being too mean in their war with Afganistan, Gave the communists a toehold in El Salvador, and got Taiwan thrown out of the UN. And thats just off the top of my head without bringing in domestic agenda issues like the dept of education or Hyper-inflation.
All in all Carter was pretty effective at being a Bad president. He should be offended. It would be like comparing Timothy McVeigh to the Underwear Bomber.

The difference between him and the Black Boy is Carter was just a moron, Obama is doing it on purpose, nobody can be this incompetent.

Foreign policy or any other the difference in hindsight is that Carter depressed the nation, Obama scares the nation. The joke is that it’s no laughing matter.
