Chipotle

Wow, that was the most excruciating, painful, and tiring first date team-building exercise have I’ve ever been through. Still I declare it a complete success, and I think we, the employees of IMAO, have come up with great ideas to improve shareholder value.
Anyway, I’m still sore, I was extremely late for work, I haven’t been following the news, and McDonalds gave me cream and sugar for my coffee when I specifically said no cream and sugar, so no more posts from me today– probably. If Harvey and rightwingduck could post some more today, I’d appreciate it. I haven’t had a chance to read all they wrote while I was gone, but it looks like they did a great job. Also, traffic didn’t surge while they posted, which would suck because that means you like them better than me.
Tomorrow I’ll get back to regular posting and tell you all about the IMAO Employee Team-Building Trip 2004 (with pictures). I’m sure SarahK will have some thing to say until then, but remember that I’m the only one who always tells the truth.
To leave you something, here’s a song I wrote about the Grand Canyon

THE SUPER FUN GRAND CANYON
One evening as the sun went down
And the jungle fires were burning,
Down the track came a hobo hiking,
And he said, “Boys, I’m not turning
I’m headed for a land that’s far away
Besides the crystal fountains
So come with me, we’ll go and see
The Super Fun Grand Canyon
In the Super Fun Grand Canyon,
There’s a land that’s fair and bright,
Where the handouts grow on bushes
And you sleep out every night.
Where the boxcars all are empty
And the sun shines every day
And the birds and the bees
And the cigarette trees
The lemonade springs
Where the bluebird sings
In the Super Fun Grand Canyon.
In the Super Fun Grand Canyon
All the cops have wooden legs
And the bulldogs all have rubber teeth
And the hens lay soft-boiled eggs
The farmers’ trees are full of fruit
And the barns are full of hay
Oh I’m bound to go
Where there ain’t no snow
Where the rain don’t fall
The winds don’t blow
In the Super Fun Grand Canyon.
In the Super Fun Grand Canyon
You never change your socks
And the little streams of alcohol
Come trickling down the rocks
The brakemen have to tip their hats
And the railway bulls are blind
There’s a lake of stew
And of whiskey too
You can paddle all around it
In a big canoe
In the Super Fun Grand Canyon
In the Super Fun Grand Canyon,
The jails are made of tin.
And you can walk right out again,
As soon as you are in.
There ain’t no short-handled shovels,
No axes, saws nor picks,
I’m bound to stay
Where you sleep all day,
Where they hung the jerk
That invented work
In the Super Fun Grand Canyon.

UPDATE: SarahK is already spreading filthy lies. I should have my account of last Thursday and Friday up tomorrow.

  1. (applause) Okay, so like, for an encore could you do ‘Angel Band’? I LOVE (or in SarahK speak) HEART that song! It is like, my most favorite from the movie “Oh Brother Where Art Thou?”
Well, it sounds like you two had a good ti- Uh, rather pleasant team-building exercise… Lovely!…
BTW, that little siren SarahK didn’t love you up and turn you into a horny-toad did she? ‘Cause if so.. BAD! Bad SarahK! 😉

  2. Hey friend, some of yer folding money has come un-stove.
    I’m gonna r-u-n-n-o-f-t!
You boys are as dumb as a bag of hammers.
I slaughtered this horse last week, I ‘spect she’s turned.
and the best…Who let those colored boys be the color guard?
I agree best non-SF movie ever.

  3. I knew you were back. The main theme from Beetlejuice started playing in my head (I maintain it is NOT the Kahlua) as soon as I went to the site. That and hippies spontaneously combusted, and the sky over Oregon turned red (actually its red anyway, stupid commies). Good to have you back!

  4. Did any of y’all see the good hair pic of Sarah on her site? She appears to be a darned cute lil’ ol’ girl. The pics on this site don’t do her justice. Maybe the weaponry distracts from her femininity a little bit or something.

  5. I am staying here where it’s safe to make ris-kay comments.
I got e-slapped by SK, and I am feeling like I did when I was a kid and got sent to the principles office.
I am a bad boy, bad bad bad BAD boy.
    Operative word here is “BOY”

  6. do not. seek. the treasure.
    Yeah… great great movie.
Anything by the Coen brothers is solid gold for me, with the exception of Fargo. I think I’m one of two people in the world that hated that movie.
Raising Arizona is still my favorite, in no small part because of the many parties it spawned.
krakatoa: I’m having a cookout this weekend and throwing in Raising Arizona
all my friends: count us in
    krakatoa: gotta do that Hi!
I remember one party in particular when we kept rewinding the tape for part of the bank robbery scene.
We could not understand what Gale said just before he and Evelle bolted out the door.
Oh how we laughed when we finally figured it out: “Any found bipedal in five wears is [pinky-toe] for a hat.”
The Coen bros write the BEST diaologue, bar none.
So, Sarah K, did Frank J drop this line on you: “You’re a flower, you are. Just a little desert flower.”
