Apparently some git has posted a scan of the final chapter of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows online. I was already planning to go dark on Saturday to avoid potential spoilers (I have a special edition of Harry Potter themed Fred Thompson facts in the can for that day), but now I’ll have to be careful the rest of the week.
Anyone who puts spoilers on IMAO will get a lifetime ban and be hated for all eternity. If you read the Potter books, you’d understand.
There are several curses to take care of maroons like this guy. They’re illegal but appropriate.
On second thought some of the products from George and Fred might do just as well and not get us in serious trouble with the Ministry.
Completely agree – and I have to be extra careful as my copy is unlikely to come in before Monday (Amazon UK order, Italian version won’t be out before next Spring anyway).
And I’m only a third through Goblet of Fire in my re-read, so I’d better get going.
I saw that scan and, truthfully, it doesn’t look quite like Rowling’s writing style. Well, I didn’t read the whole thing, because I really don’t want this book spoiled, but I looked over a sentence here or there.
Though I will be really angry if it turns out to be the actual epilogue. For more than one reason.
If I use the term “Deus ex machina,” does that count as a spoiler? I’d just like to know before I get a lifetime ba…….

In the final version two new characters, Harry Reese and Nantra Pelosis, attempt to negotiate with the evil forces which results in empowering them beyond expectation, use their world government connections to end funding to Hogwarts which leaves the school virtually ineffective and desperately in need of wands and potion items, and – of course – long ago cut funding for all American task forces.
In the final chapter, evil overran the dimensions in under a day, and both Reedus and Pelosis were killed by Lord Voldemort personally.
