I already have a hat-mounted LED light so I can see what I’m doing when I’m working in gloomily-lit spaces, but the flaw always seems to be that whenever I touch the tool to the object that needs tooling, I can’t see a damn thing because the tool now casts a shadow at the point of contact.
Enter Craftsman Lighted Pliers:

Which gives me an idea to improve dinosaurs with rocket launchers:
Uvula-mounted LED for night-biting.

I saw these a couple days ago and thought about getting them, but then I was like, “meh”. It’s more fun hollering at my wife to hold the flashlight better.
@Keln: I had a childhood of my father saying, “YOU’RE SHINING IT IN MY EYES!”
Can you say Uvula? What about the boy dinosaurs?
hwuu – my favorite line in Monster House, and also the line least understood by the movie’s target demographic.
“…when I’m working in gloomily-lit spaces”
That sounds incredibly ominous…like burying bodies in the basement.
SoB – I think you know too much.
Say… could you help me get something out of my basement?
I’ve learned that seeing things too clearly is a source of great stress. I hereby resolve to live in the dark.
Plumbing, electrical, engine repair, etc. For me, it’s all about getting comfortable before I begin the required contortions and experience the various pains of age. Extra light is always good especially if your eyes are crap like mine.
Hold on… the geriatric nurse is at the door. Ooooh.
