So there was a tragic shooting in Arizona and the first thing many liberals did — before any facts were out — was blame Sarah Palin. This has happened a number of times now where with pants-wetting glee people like Paul Krugman and Kos jump on an instance thinking they finally have the right-wing violence they’ve been waiting for only to be disappointed. And it’s purely a left-wing thing; I don’t see the right constantly worried that the left’s over the top rhetoric is going to get people hurt. And the only conclusion is that the left has a problem with the concept of free speech.
The whole point of free speech is that the country benefits from other viewpoints being out there. While one group may think what they’re doing is pure good, it’s good for those ideas to moderated by other’s questioning them. But liberals can’t stand that. They live with this constant delusion — not backed by any facts — that the right’s speech against their views is going to lead to violence. They like to say they’re talking about “heated rhetoric”, but it soon becomes apparent that anything against them falls in that category. Like the moron Sheriff Dupnik in Arizona said “one party blocking another party’s efforts to better this country” could have led to this shooting; so even the most basic act of stopping legislation you disagree with is now bad speech that gets people killed.
So the left is constantly imagining danger from people disagreeing with them, and that conflicts directly with the idea of free speech. We need a debate in this country, but the left thinks that’s a constant danger. People who think like that have a fundamental problem with American values.

The left just can’t accept the fact that violence comes from the Godless, not God-fearing gun owners.
But they don’t hate violence. They never have. They only use violence to further their ends. All speech, all action, all everything is to further their political ends.
The left is populated by scum. There is nothing wrong with saying this proudly. They are vermin and should be treated as such. They get away with being abject scum precisely because the “right” refuses to be frank about who the left is. The “undecided” make assumptions based on the right’s acquiescence. If we would simply be vocal about what a bunch of scumbags they are, we’d have landslides every election cycle.
It’s all very simple – the left projects themselves onto the world around them:
– They want to beat up anyone who disagrees with them, so they assume everyone feels that way;
– They want to kill anyone who wins an argument against them, so they assume everyone feels that way;
– If they had a gun in their hands they would spray lead around like there’s no tomorrow, so they assume everyone feels that way;
– They hate themselves for being weak and inconsequential, so they assume everyone feels that way;
and on, and on, and on. It’s all projection. When they make their clueless, baseless accusations, they are merely describing themselves. Bear that in mind always.
We just have to articulate why leftism is a disaster, why it has ruined many formerly great nations, why it destroyed our car industry and our steel industry, why it is ruining our great nation, and why America is an exceptional nation worth fighting for. The left has no new ideas. They are simply America’s power hungry termites. Point all of this out, smash their talking points, and when they are reduced to screaming “RACIST!”, the game is up.
Of course, it’s difficult to find a politician who is articulate, ambitious, and filled with desire to lead according to the Constitution and not according to his or her vanity or hunger for power and fame.

They’d do it. I’ve actually read the Danish constitution. First of all, a long list of entitlements are guaranteed. Second, nearly all civil right are subject to legislative override by a simple majority. It’s no wonder that liberals have a crush on all things European.

After all, they realized that even the super crazy libs wouldn’t be able to blame Bush so they went after Palin instead. They’re learning. One of the cardinal rules of politics in this country should be…never give the left an excuse to be righteously indigent…for if they can be…they will be. The fact that this congresswoman was a blue dog and even voted against NP for minority speaker and never was an ally of the liberals will no longer be a factor in the coming debate. Now the nation will experience a left wing wave of condemnation of everything they hate like free speech, criticism of the federal government, Obama care, the right to own a gun…ad nauseum.

Not that the right doesn’t have some of these people but with the left its institutionalized top to bottom. While the right has some bad characters they dont have a seat at the table and aren’t taken seriously while on the left they are in charge of the meeting.
I’m somewhat tempted to say that we should be used to this by now. The Left will always relish any tragedy that gives them an excuse to push their agenda. But as accustomed to this pattern as we may be, let us never forget. Let us never forget what we truly fight for.

On the contrary, I worry about it constantly. Since I listen to talk/news radio, mostly in the car, I suspect it will happen like this: I’m driving along, minding my business, when I hear one of the liberal talking points. I proceed to laugh myself to tears at the abject cluelessness, which obstructs my vision, causing me to miss a turn and plow into a phone pole (or school bus, or Greyhound bus, etc). Voila! Many people hurt.These are the things that keep me awake at night.

Actually, free speech as enshrined in the Constitution only prevents you from being arrested/deported/otherwise punished by the government. It doesn’t mean you can’t lose your job, that people can’t criticize you, or that you shouldn’t think before you open your mouth. If the First Amendment covered that much ground, there would be no such thing IMAO, or any other political blog.
