So anyone else disturbed by the fact that the left keeps finding messages to kill in basic political rhetoric? This is like their talk about “racist dog whistles” where they claim this is stuff they’re afraid others will read into speech, yet they’re the only ones whoever see these hidden messages to be racist and to kill. Maybe eventually liberals will have some realization like at the end of The Sixth Sense where they look back at all the evidence and finally come to the truth that they’ve been the violent, racists all along and have just been projecting all their views onto others. Not holding my breath on liberals becoming self-aware before SkyNet does, but it could happen.

A Resurgence of Gun Control?
As liberals got disappointed at not having a Tea Party member shoot up people, they still see opportunity in all the death — maybe they can get the ball rolling on gun control again! It’s a simple argument: “If we can take away fundamental human rights, we could possibly eliminate the .0001% chance of being in a mass shooting.” Except they’re not going to make a logical argument for obvious reasons and instead rely on emotion and propose the usual grab bag of laws that wouldn’t have stopped the tragedy (saw someone from the Brady campaign talking about gun shows even though Loughner didn’t get his gun from a gun show).
I think people are over this now, though. It used to be the left could ride a tragedy to pass for gun laws, but that doesn’t seem to work anymore as there we’ve gone past a number of shooting (usually in “gun free” zones) without any more gun control laws being passed. The majority no longer thinks you make people safer anymore by disarming them. So keep vigilant, but I think we won this one a while ago.
Time for the Left to Admit They Have a Problem with Free Speech
So there was a tragic shooting in Arizona and the first thing many liberals did — before any facts were out — was blame Sarah Palin. This has happened a number of times now where with pants-wetting glee people like Paul Krugman and Kos jump on an instance thinking they finally have the right-wing violence they’ve been waiting for only to be disappointed. And it’s purely a left-wing thing; I don’t see the right constantly worried that the left’s over the top rhetoric is going to get people hurt. And the only conclusion is that the left has a problem with the concept of free speech.
The whole point of free speech is that the country benefits from other viewpoints being out there. While one group may think what they’re doing is pure good, it’s good for those ideas to moderated by other’s questioning them. But liberals can’t stand that. They live with this constant delusion — not backed by any facts — that the right’s speech against their views is going to lead to violence. They like to say they’re talking about “heated rhetoric”, but it soon becomes apparent that anything against them falls in that category. Like the moron Sheriff Dupnik in Arizona said “one party blocking another party’s efforts to better this country” could have led to this shooting; so even the most basic act of stopping legislation you disagree with is now bad speech that gets people killed.
So the left is constantly imagining danger from people disagreeing with them, and that conflicts directly with the idea of free speech. We need a debate in this country, but the left thinks that’s a constant danger. People who think like that have a fundamental problem with American values.

Buttercup makes lots of noise now which is distracting and gets me killed in Call of Duty. Wife is always asking me to do stuff for the baby, which also gets me killed during Call of Duty. So, in summary, wife and kids make me look like a n00b.
The Empire may have been evil, but even they didn’t argue that building the Death Star would reduce the deficit.
What exactly is Outlook doing that it takes a 100% of CPU power when I’m typing in an e-mail?
Has Sarah Palin been arrested yet for trying to keep Gifford from being reelected?
By now, it should be pretty obvious Kos is a despicable nut and only nuts should associate with him. I haven’t gotten for years why anyone acts like that guy is even in shouting distance of mainstream.
Liberals will never give up the hope that one day Glenn Beck’s chalkboard will directly lead to murder and violence.
Left very eager to link violence to the right; never see it in reverse. Hurm. Like when nut took hostages at Discovery Channel, only saw right jokingly link him to Gore. But with no evidence of motive, left very seriously try to link things to Beck or Palin. It’s a very left-wing phenomenon. Just thought intersecting because most douchey things are on both sides, but not this one. Wonder why.
Horrific tragedies are a great way to get people you disagree with to shut up. I wish we had more!
People who keep assuming speech they disagree with leads to violence are people who aren’t comfortable with free speech.
If Palin was going to put up an assassination list, shouldn’t it have been of liberal Representatives in safe district? Guess she’s too stupid for strategery like that.
Listened to father of the 9-year-old kill in Arizona on FOX News. Remembered I now have a daughter and lost it.
They’re trying to make this that any disagreement causes murder. Well, I’m going to disagree until EVERYONE IS DEAD!
In the future, let’s just mark vulnerable districts with dots… but not red dots because that’s too much like a laser sight.
There are hundreds – if not billions – of people out there waiting for anything that could be loosely considered an order to kill, so use caution.
Just to reiterate, Sheriff Dupnik puts some of the blame of the shooting on “one party blocking another party from bettering this country.”
Found a dead mouse in the dog’s water bowl. You think one of the cats left it there as a warning?
The only people who hear basic political rhetoric and think violence are apparently the average lefties.
