They’re called “Founders Playing Cards“.
My first thought was a rush of excitement at the thought of my favorite Constitutional pioneers gracing the face cards.

George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Pocahontas, Susan B. Anthony, Harriet Tubman, Rosie the Riveter, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Frederick Douglass, Theodore Roosevelt
Someone’s unclear on the meaning of the word “Founders”.

In some respects, I sympathize, because there really weren’t any women involved in the political founding of the nation – too busy raising the next generation of patriots and keeping house for the current generation. Not sexist, just a historical fact.
So, it’s hard to find a good Queen for the cards, let alone four of them.
But I’d suggest, as starters, the allegorical female figures of Liberty and Justice.
Maybe throw in Wisdom and Victory, too.
Going by the founders bios, just be thankful there isn’t an Obama card.

@6 – No. Famous names, but minor players in The Founding.
There really weren’t any Founding Mothers. Just supportive wives & mothers. The men did all the heavy lifting, politically.
Kinda had to, since women couldn’t vote.
You could probably use Dolly Madison for a fourth. She did risk life and limb to save historical arifacts when the Brits burned the White House.
@8 – Yeah, but when you say “Dolly Madison”, most people think about baked goods being sold by the Peanuts gang.

Also, Washington as both General and President carried a smallsword, not a… whatever that sorta messer/dussak/sabre looking hybrid on the card art is supposed to be…

I agree with Carolyn the Mommy @5 and @6 (but a little more on 5). Betsy Ross and Abigail Adams were right in front of my mind. Abigail seems to have been quite a wit and did push on her hubby in many political arguments. Betsy Ross, yes, by all means. Molly Pitcher sounds like a good one. Quick and probably shoddy research yields one Nancy Hart as a good candidate ( http://score.rims.k12.ca.us/score_lessons/women_american_revolution/hart.html ) Sounds like the kind of woman IMAO readers could look up to.

I am more sympathetic to Truman but he STILL doesn’t make the cut.
Let’s just face the fact that trying to come up with a Founding Mother is like trying to come up with a “Great Black Hockey Player” or a “Great White Basketball Player (Post-Larry Bird era)”.
You can come up with someone who’s “diversity-qualified”, but no one who’s qualified by merit.
