As much as I both admire and respect Mr. Thompson and his abilities, his choice of a 6 iron and the resultant double bogey clearly illustrates his naivete of the game. A True Pro would have readily elected to use the 3 wood for such an undertaking, and have taken out the entire
Continent of Africa, thus finishing the hole one under par, rather than 2 over.
Like anything else Zen in nature, it takes time to aquire a true understanding of how to approach the game. Seeing as Mr. Thompson is still young, there is hope yet.
The National Weather Service had planned to name the current hurricane “Fred” instead of “Felix,” but the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale only goes up to Category 5.
