A Drug That Eliminates Tragic Events?

Drudge is linking to an article that shows amazing progress in the field of mental health. It turns out that scientists are working on a new drug that can help remove painful memories. As a Doctor myself, I’m always happy to see new medicines come along to offer help and comfort.
I understand some of you are on a budget, or maybe you need relief right away.
May I make a recommendation?

  1. Dr. Duck,
“Propranolol was originally developed to treat high blood pressure, but its effect on the hormone adrenaline has made it popular among actors dealing with severe stage fright, and scientists are now using it in their research on memory.”
Actually, it probably just removes the traumaticness of it.
So does that mean that heart patients on this beta blocker are cured of any traumaticness of their heart attack memories? Does that make actors lose their traumaticness? Is that why liberal actors show a level of foolishness and naievete like they were born yesterday?

  2. Now if they could only come up with a drug to cure the most harmfull and rampent mental disease of them all (Liberalism), that would be worth a Nobel prize!
The other effect of Jack Daniels…the higher the dose, the prettier and more appealing that herfer across the room becomes.

  3. Wolfman. There is already a cure. A conical shaped lead element projected from an elongated iron/steel tube with helictical grooves. This cure is administered to the sufferer via high-speed deliver through an exothermic reaction. A caregiver can administer said cure from several hundred yards away given the strength of the dose and the delivery vehicle.
Of course, its use is decried by lefties in much the same way DDT is. Both are Immensely effective in eradicating the spread of deadly diseases, yet are disallowed due to vocal protested by parties rife with self-interest.

  4. Ahhhh. I know there were more reasons than one why I owned an AR-50. The only problem; too many of them and so little ammo, which is why I prefer a Katana (The cheap solution to a growing problem, honorable Ronin).
