It’s no “It’s Pat”, but this movie is definitely worth seeing. Fox inexplicably killed what what would have been a slightly above average comedy, and condoned it to “direct to dvd” status. It’s better than that. If you like “Office Space” or you should definitely see this.
…aaand sometimes the studios get it right….
I saw it a couple of weeks ago, and alternately laughed my head off, and was very very very scared for the future. It could happen.
I saw “Epic Movie” soon after watching “Idiocracy”. I felt like I was watching “Ass” with a fresh helping of “Ow My Balls”. The people in the audience were guffawing up a storm over the most stupid stuff. I’m ashamed of myself for having gone to see “Epic Movie”.
Lashawn Barber has an article about some crook going to jail who got 6 different women pregnant. I read on blogs how Europe has a declining population in regards to concern of increasing muslim population.
A critic in my local paper joked “Idiocracy” should have won an aware for best documentary. I’m beginning to think he wasn’t kidding. “Idiocracy” is more “truth to power” than you would like to believe.
“Idiocracy” has its share of dumb jokes and site gags, but that’s the point. This is one movie where such things are appropriate and in fact have a serious connotation to go along with the cheap laugh.
“Documentary” indeed.

saw it about a month ago. very funny stuff… though, as estella and hadsil have pointed out, frightening at the same time…
I laughed my ass off watching it. Now I wonder if I should be ashamed?
