I notice a lot of the liberals are really cynical of the other side is just an insanely pessimistic way. They think that everyone who disagrees with them on politics isn’t arguing because they honestly believe their views are what’s best for America; instead, they think conservatives’ public views are just a cover to our agenda of pure evil and killing minorities for profit.
I’m the other way. I’m cynical of liberals’ stated views because I think that they don’t really believe what they say because deep down most are still patriotic Americans who’ve suppressed the ability to express that overtly. It’s like how many people said they would move out of the country if President Bush was reelected and no one followed through. And how many liberals knew exactly the right things to say after the terrorists attacks on 9/11 — if only for a short time they let themselves talk that way.
I think mine is much happier cynicism of the other side.

I’m glad you have faith in them. I don’t. But then again, I’m inundated by their propaganda every day in the town I live in.
Did you mean cynical or cyclical? I think liberals are totally cyclical…like the 17-year locusts…only more destructive.
When you can’t debate the facts anymore, a weak-minded person begins to ascribe bad motives to the person who disagrees with them.
I think their cynicism is just a manifestation of malnutrition and sleep deprivation. It’s also why they identify so closely with the Gitmo detainees.
What they need is a couple o’ cheeseburgers & a nap. That should take care of the crankies.

Liberals believe in everything they espouse. That’s what makes them so dangerous. They actually believe the lies and distortions they are fed and they pass those on like a dog passing fleas.
They also think that since the rest of us don’t believe the same as they, that we should be “fixed”. If that means we have to be committed or forced to live in squalor or even killed, hey it’s all for our own good and they’re just trying to help.

I’m not cynical of liberals at all. I think their motives are completely transparent. They want to force the world to be all better, and they don’t care what they have to destroy in the process.
Liberals don’t believe that actions have consequences, nor even that actions should have consequences. Conservatives do.
See, conservatives want to keep what’s good, even if it means keeping the bad, and liberals want to throw out the bad, even if it means throwing out the good. Baby, bathwater, etc.
Once you understand those two key ideas, liberals make perfect sense. Except for the chicks not shaving their legs. I never have figured that one out.
