The GOP reading the Constitution was a pretty obvious political stunt, and all the liberals had to do was ignore it and it would go by unremarked. But they just can’t help themselves. So instead you had Democrats objecting to the Constitution being read, the NYTimes writing editorials about what a horrible waste of time it is, and liberals on the net freaking out like Gremlins when exposed to a bright light. It’s like they’re Muslims and the Constitution is bacon.
The left has just lost control of themselves. They’re angry all the time and they don’t even have coherent reasons why. They are about as hard to politically outsmart right now as it is to outsmart a cat. I mean, the Republicans could have announced, “We’re going to read the Constitution so the left will freak out and prove they hate it.” and the left would have said, “Oh yeah! We’ll show you by freaking out even more than you expected!” Anyway, we now have plenty of clips of “Democrats hating the Constitution” for 2012. Of course, if the left doesn’t eventually get some control over itself, it’s not like it’s going to take lot of political maneuvering to be successful next election.

Of course they object to reading, they are also not too keen on writing, or tying their own shoes. They have staff for that.
The Constitution is like really old and stuff and we are really new! So, therefore it should not apply to a modern eco-friendly, progressive, green, tolerant society like ours! After all, it was written by a bunch of white males! No blacks, no females! How can this be fair? So, we should just like burn it or something and make things up as we go along and let the courts decide!

Use caution when trying to portray humans as more intelligent than cats. After all, cats did not found the Democrat Party.
When the Republicans announced they would have the Constitution read at the opening of the new Congress news agencies across the country scurried to obtain a copy of this document in order to be prepared. Frustrated with being unable to find a copy within their own archives they turned to their allies the “Democrat” Party for assistance. Unfortunately, the Democrat party was also unable to come up with a copy. Therefore, they returned to their normal process of denial and objection.

Dimms hate everything. Especially when they discover that the Republicans can read and that they cannot. They cannot read, and they cannot tax those that do. They will gnash their teeth at that.
The constitution is contrary to their vision of the world and if everyone knew what it said, they will lose power and they will gnash their teeth at that.
The constitution eliminates communism and they will gnash their teeth at that.
I hope the republicans institute a west coast mansion tax of 90% for all those holyweird types that scoff at the constitution.

Reading the Constitution where the Dems can hear it is like aversion therapy. It’s really really hard, but maybe someday they’ll be able to read their own legislation before voting on it. We can only hope.

I though long and hard about the ‘vitriol’ in this country and came to a sensible (my opinion) conclusion:…
I conclude ( my opinion ) from all the vitriol out there if there is ‘anyone’ to blame or ‘attack’ ?? – It is our (Public/Liberal) “Educational System” that has created the ‘ vitriol ‘ in this Country. And I say this because for the past 50 years [ since the 60′s ] our “Educational System” has been a “Liberal Left” teaching tool by “Design”. A “one way” ( left ) thought process. I include many ” ‘Liberal Left ” Colleges as well. Since a lot of these institutions receive federal funding, doesn’t that make it come full circle?

I thought it was an excellent idea to read the Constitution out loud; Congress should do it annually, in my opinion.
